Simon Says Stamp DT Card - Something A Little Different, Gone A Little Bit Wrong!

Good morning peeps,
I had one of my moments yesterday & made a man cry with laughter! There was a mix up over the delivery of my Christmas Tree & the man at the courier company tried telling me the tracking record showed it had been posted through my letterbox!!! I know I can be a bit of an air head but I think even I would have noticed a 6ft Christmas Tree hanging out my flipping letterbox for goodness sake. I was ranting & laughing at the same time & accused him of stealing my Christmas tree, then the delivery driver, or the neighbours, eventually he said he'd just discovered it was still at the depot so I was right, he did try to pinch it lol. In the end he said he couldn't talk to me anymore as his stomach hurt from laughing, how rude when I was traumatised by the non arrival of Christmas tree lol.

Today is new challenge day at
& this week it's everyone's favourite

My lovely teamies & I are showcasing either Unity or Lawn Fawn stamps this challenge.

I have made a feeble attempt at a CAS card, me CAS yeah right lol. Well it hasn't got any flowers so that's a start but I just couldn't do it properly, I felt that I hadn't put any effort into making it & changed a strip of embossed paper for some beautiful lace, added some Bakers Twine & then thought it best to leave it alone before I totally blew it lol. I can see why CAS cards are popular, they are so quick & easy to make compared to the usual fussing around deciding which embellies to use & then getting the mass of embellies in just the right place but I guess that's just me, a natural fusspot lol.

Ingredients -
Medium - Copics (especially for Pendra x) - G94, G85, G00, C1, C0, C00
Bakers Twine - Martha Stewart

As always our lovely Heidi is sponsoring our challenge with a mahoosive $50 spending spree

If you don't already visit the STORE BLOG pop over & take a peek, Michelle has featured some fabby stickers that have just change my mind about liking them, & as always you can see a selection of new goodies in store, featured products & enter the many giveaways.

I have decided I need to leave shorter comments when I visit you all as I'm struggling to find time to get round to visit everyone who takes the time to leave me comments & less typing is better for my shoulder & means I will be able to visit more of you so I will be attempting to cut the waffle lol.
Tomorrow I will be back in my usual over embellished sparkly style.

I do have to go shopping again as I need a new daylight lamp, mine has gone & died on me & that's something I class as essential especially during the gloomy Winter months.

Santa Time - Simon Says Stamp DT Card

Good morning peeps,
Hubby went back to work yesterday afternoon and I did intend heading straight to my craft room to play but I only actually made it in there to give it a clean. Not content with a nice clean craft room I then had the urge to have a cleaning spree and get the house back to how I like it, so I blasted a bit of Robbie Williams out & "sang" along with him & thoroughly enjoyed a good clean without being told off for hoovering, I know I'm strange I've been told many times lol.

Today is new challenge day at
& this week our challenge is

For My Baby Girl - Totally Tilda DT Card & A Pins Tutorial

Good morning peeps,
I'm off Christmas shopping with hubby this afternoon, he's not like me happy to shop online he's a strange man he loves a trip round the shops, according to my friends he's very rare as their hubby's moan about it & refuse to go, maybe I should rent him out for shopping trips, he insists on carrying the bags, & he opens doors, any takers lol.
The Christmas lights are being switched on in town which I've not bothered going to see since Ali & I took our kids many moons ago & we were outraged as Santa was switching the lights on & the poor chap arrived in the back of a clapped out old Ford Cortina & nobody even realised he was in there when he went past as we were all waiting for a sleigh. While Ali & I were ranting loudly & feeling sorry for Santa those naughty children of ours disowned us, I've warned hubby as he's making me go again I will have another tantrum if Santa gets shoved in the back of a rusty old car again lol.

Waffle over I could feel myself getting all stressed worrying about Santa lol.
Today is new challenge day at

Jodie gave me strict instructions that she wanted a book card for Christmas after seeing the first one I made for the lovely Camilla HERE, so this one will be for my baby girl, I wish I'd sorted my bells out before I took this piccy look at them they've rolled all over the place lol.

The inside I have decorated with some Raspberry Road digi papers, some lace from eBay, and the edge of the accordion is punched using my favourite MS Aspen PATP, the ribbon is May Arts sheer ruffle edge ribbon

I've made a pocket frame using nesties, the tag is a Go Kreate die, and I've inked up 4 adorable Magnolia Mini's, Unwrapped Tilda, Star Tilda,  Christmas Morning Tilda, & Tilda as Lucia, all these little cuties are currently in stock at SIMON SAYS STAMP.

Lots of you lovely peeps have asked for a tutorial to show how I make my pins so I finally got around to doing it yesterday, they are really quick and easy to make
Homemade Pins Tutorial

Ingredients -
Beads - I bought mine either off eBay, Simon Says Stamp or my local craft shop
Seed Beads & Spacers - mine were from eBay, shops such as Bunny Zoes or Quixotic Paperie also stock a small selection
Pliers - pinched off of hubby which I use to straighten the pins out
Glue - Crafters Pick from Wild Orchid Crafts or Glossy Accents
Pins - Whiff of Joy & eBay

I made a few mistakes when buying beads, spacers etc buying some that were too big so I have included all the measurements to save you from doing the same. Rather than buy loads and then not like the colours as sometimes they look different IRL I would just buy a colour such as white or clear beads which will go with virtually every colour scheme
The beads caps I use are 5 or 6mm, spacers vary between 5 & 7mm, and the plain headpins I buy are either 500 or 600mm & I believe they are actually for making earrings so are all in the jewellery section on eBay. I also use Whiff of Joy pins which already have a decorative cap on the end.

From left to right you can see the plain headpin, a bead on the pin without a beadcap or spacer, then 2 different Whiff Of Joy pins, a pinhead with a 5mm spacer on the end, and lastly a pinhead with a 6mm beadcap on the end

I tend to make my pins in batches and sit popping beads, spacers etc on pins ready to glue while I am sat watching TV as I'm a fidget and always have to be doing something
I always use Crafters Pick or Glossy Accents as my glue as they are both strong and clear drying, and I use a cocktail stick to apply a small amount between each bead / spacer and also at the end of my last bead whch is usually a seed bead

Then I pop them on their end somewhere to dry, I find a wicker basket perfect for this, and in true Blue Peter style here's some I made earlier lol
I hope that helped the ladies that asked for the tutorial, and if you are still with me after all that, thanks for stopping by

Oh gawd guess who's an air head? Instead of being a good girl & blogging I was busy Christmas shopping and craft shopping in bulk for supplies for an order for some invitations I need to make, and the best bit was there was no crowds, no queues, coffee & a choc chip muffin on hand as I never left my sofa, perfect, well almost I just had the problem of what to buy.

A Pearly Thank You - Simon Says Stamp DT Card & Mini Candy Winner

Hello peeps,
We had such a long day at the hospital yesterday & were both shattered when we eventually got home, but fingers crossed hubby has finished with trips into hospital except for a check up next week & life can return to some sort of normality at last. Hubby had 6 syringes of infected fluid drained off his knee & straight away he said it felt sore but much better than it did. When I saw the nurse come out carrying 2 large bottles of fluid for testing I was a bit gutted I didn't go in for a nose as I do like to supervise lol, but I was too busy chatting away to various strange men in the waiting area, and it was very odd that it was all men there!  I was there so long I felt I ought to meet & greet everyone and offer them coffee like I do at home lol. I think the only man I didn't end up yapping to was a prisoner chained to his guards, & since we had to travel to the hospital in Shepton Mallet & Shepton prison is for "lifers" I think I can safely say he was a "friend" I didn't need to make lol.

Santa's Naughty Or Nice List - Addicted To Stamps DT Card & Mini Candy Giveaway

Good morning peeps,
Sorry I've not been around much the past few days I'm struggling with my shoulder pain due to having to do loads of extra driving to taxi hubby around to hospital & doctors appointments virtually every day. His leg is all padded & bandaged up again & he's been put back on crutches due to the post operative infection in it so his beloved motorbike is all tucked up back in the garage again not that he should have been riding it yet, stupid man lol.

I am escaping for a couple of hours or so today, Ali is picking me up and we are heading to a craft show, obviously I am only buying "absolute essentials" to cheer myself up lol.

Today is new challenge day at
& this fortnight we have one of my favourite challenges

Ingredients -
Image - Karen's Doodles
Medium - Copics, all the E50's
Papers - Pion, Magnolia & stash
Lace - Prima
Pearls - Hero Arts & Wild Orchid
Sparkle - crystal glamour dust & Copic Spica Twinkling Stars
Flowers - Wild Orchid

I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
Sweet Sketch Wednesday - sketch, 2 Sisters - anything goes, Crafty Catz - use a digi image, Floweret - Christmas, Jellypark - non traditional Christmas colours, Stempelsonnen - Santa Claus, Totally Papercrafts - Victorian, Crimbo Crackers - make it sparkle,

Today is Remembrance Sunday in the UK, or "Poppy Sunday" as I used to call it when I was little
Before I go I have a Moonlight Wishes Lili Of The Valley stamp to give away if anyone would like it. I went slightly wild and bought so many which will probably remain uninked due to my severe Magnolia addiction lol, so I thought rather than let it sit neglected in one of my stamp baskets I'd offer it as a little weekend candy as I've been such a bad blogger the past few days.
If you'd like it just leave a comment letting me know and I'll get hubby to pick out a winner
