Joyful Tilda - Simon Says Stamp DT Card

Hello peeps,
I've made a big mistake! I decided to brave taking the dogs in the field as they hadn't had a good run in a few days due to the floods, they went out as brown and white dogs and came in as soaking wet dark brown dogs but they had a wonderful time, as did I squelching my way around in my welly's, we all needed a hose down in the garden after. I had everything prepared expecting to have muddy pups, I just hadn't bargained on how muddy lol. I'd put the dogs towels by the back door ready to give them a rub down, hairdryer in the kitchen to finish drying them, dry shampoo, deodorant & brush at the ready I just didn't think about not being able to dry them both at the same time, so while Jester was having his blow dry Dude was having a good old shake & OMG my kitchen walls, table, units & me were well and truly splattered & all I could do was sit on the floor horrified but laughing as there was nothing I could do to stop him lol. If I'd stopped blow drying Jester to stop Dude shaking everywhere he'd have done the same so what else can you do but laugh lol.
There was me thinking I'd have a relaxing day & walk the dogs before writing my post & then head for my craft room but instead I'm late with my post and I've been cleaning for what feels like hours, & then I needed a bath, so the idea of getting in my craft room was just a dream lol. I think we'll stick to pounding the pavements & looking at people's Christmas lights for a few more days, round here there seem to be loads of Christmas lights up already :)

Today is new challenge day at
& this week our challenge is a
ANYTHING GOES

My lovely teamies and I are featuring Martha Stewart products on our creations this week which as you can probably tell is a huge favourite of mine :)
Sorry the piccy's aren't the best, I'm beginning to think I should have kept the nice new posh camera I bought for hubby & Jode to take to Portugal with them and given them my little Kodak camera instead, I slipped up there lol.

I have finally got around to having a play with the Martha Stewart crafters clay I bought months ago, all the leaves are made with it and it has a lovely texture when you play with it, almost like marshmallows, and even when it is dry it doesn't feel like normal clay it's really light which makes it perfect for card embellies and you can colour it with distress inks I discovered which I did on the fern leaf. A little tip is, I found when using the fern leaf mould always let the clay dry for at least a few hours before attempting to take the leaf out of the mould otherwise it just doesn't play nice and you end up with a deformed leaf.
The Copic Colours I've used are -
skin - E21, E00, E000, R20, E93, hair - E25, E31, E50, clothes - R89, R59, R39 / C1, C0, C00 socks - C1, C00, tray - W4, W2, W00, cookies - E35, E33, E31, teapot - C3, C1, C00, baubles - Y26, Y23, Y21 / Y28, greenery - YG97, YG95, YG93

Believe! - Addicted To Stamps DT, Candy Winner & A Little More Candy

Hello peeps :)
We have had floods, gales, mopping up, floods, gales, mopping up, oh and another day & night of floods & gales followed by more mopping up, so torrential rain, floods & gales aside the weather is beautiful here in the South West of England lol. Our local Marines from 40 Commando who's camp is about a mile away from us have even been out helping people along with the emergency services, thankfully it just seems to be some farmland & some areas near the river that are still flooded here now. Mother Nature can be so beautiful, & so cruel, although upsetting furniture, fences & cars can all be replaced, new trees can be planted, but people can never be replaced and they are what truly matter.

I am late with my DT card as we kept losing our internet & satellite connection so I gave up trying to write my post in the end as I couldn't stay online long enough, but fingers crossed all is good now, it's still raining but not heavy & the weather forecast is set to turn cold and dry :)

Simon Says Stamp DT Card & A Soggy Taunton!

Hello lovely peeps,
I am so late with my post today, it's been one of those crazy days where I haven't stopped, pretty much all of Taunton is flooded & more heavy rain and gales are forecast for the next few days. So many people are flooded out already, my poor mum is in a flood area right in the town centre near to Morrisons where the first picture was taken, there is a car park under all that muddy water believe it or not!
It's so sad the way the filthy flood waters ruins peoples homes :(
Here are some piccy's I snagged off friends facebook pages.
Thankfully we live on the outskirts of town on the lower hills so we are usually safe as it runs off the hills past us and down into the town but for the first time ever my garden flooded which was a bit of a shock this morning when I let the dogs out at 6am! Jester loved splashing about on my patio / swimming pool, I had a sudden panic thinking "craft room" as my craft room is downstairs facing the backdoor so I ended up out in the pouring rain in my PJ's, coat & welly's trying to see if anything was preventing the water running round the side of the house and down the front steps into the street which it usually does, but I think it was just the sheer amount of rain as it had poured down all night so it was not only from the sky but also running down from the field behind our house.
I think I'd best take my Tilda's upstairs to bed just to be on the safe side lol.

Today is new challenge day at
SIMON SAYS STAMP
& this week we have a
SKETCH CHALLENGE
Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog
My lovely teamies and I are featuring Stamps Happen this week, if you have them we'd love to see them but as always it's not compulsory to come and play in our challenge :)
The super cute Cheerful Snowmen stamp I've used is a very large stamp so to make these little cuties fit in with the sketch I have fussy cut one snowman off each end and moved them closer together by popping the little one holding the tree behind the row of snowmen and the snowman with the wreath infront of the row of snowmen. The blue paper on the middle panel is Melissa Frances crepe paper which I thought would make a change as it has a lovely texture.
As always our lovely Heidi is sponsoring our challenge with a $50 in store spending spree in the faboulous
Don't forget to keep am eye on the STORE BLOG peeps for lots of inspiration, new products and chances to win lovely candy :)

Today also saw the start of a special Simon Says Stamp Gratitude Charity Blog Hop, please come and hop with us and not only see lots of lovely inspiration but also be in with a chance to win a donation to a charity of your choice donated by our sweet & generous Heidi :)
That's me done for today peeps, & done in actually lol. I have a feeling for the frst time in a ages my insomnia may be cured tonight as I'm fighting my eyes while I'm finishing my post which is so not like me, usually I am springing into action whizzing around with my polish at midnight and that's only because everyone objects when I get the urge to hoover so late, I think I'm very considerate by not hoovering, I just quietly polish away instead lol.
