Uptown Girl & Like Your Style - Simon Says Stamp Artist Group

Hello peeps,
Everybody is back home again, the wash basket went from empty to overflowing within minutes, I discovered a sink full of washing up had magically appeared overnight, Jester had a letter in the post this morning so Jode was in a bad mood as the dog had a letter & she didn't, life as we know it is back to normal, sigh lol.

I have two little cards to share tonight, I have made my first card with a Stamping Bella's Uptown Girl stamp, I love these cute images and will definitely be inking up more of these, and I am also featuring some of Simon Says Stamps Exclusive products on my cards.
I have used Simon Says Stamps Fresh Daisies die on this card but instead of doing what I usually do & die cutting coloured card I die cut X-Press Copic card & I have coloured the pretty die cuts in the same colours as Ava's dress & I think they look more effective coloured.
As you know I love my embellies & I sat for ages with lots of various pretty, sparkly embellies, butterfly punches etc looking at me just waiting to be used but not looking right for this card & eventually I put them all away telling myself "step away from the card Mandy" lol.

The Copic colours I've used are -
skin - E11, E00, E000, R12, hair - E44, E43, E41,dress - BV04, BV02, BV000 / RV99, RV95, RV93, cake - C3, CI, C00 / E55, E53, E51 / V01, V000, V0000, roses - R85, R83, R81, presents - C4, C2, C00 / V01, V000, V0000 / R85, R83, R81
I'm entering my card in the following challenge -
Make It Monday - anything goes

My second card today is a Sympathy card for one of Jodie's friends. I found this one quite difficult to get right as Jodie didn't want it to be religious or a traditional Sympathy card, she wanted it to be elegant, colourful, & feminine & it had to be a pretty card eeke lol.
On this card I have used the large flowers from the Simon Says Stamps Exclusive Like Your Style stamp set & a "Thinking of You" sentiment rather than a Sympathy from the Folded Banner Sayings die & stamps set.
The Copic colours I've used are -
flowers - R27, R24, R22, R20, leaves - G94, G43, G40
That's me finished for tonight peeps, I'm off for a hop around some blogs before bedtime.

Tilda With Daffodil Basket - Simon Says Stamp DT Card

Good morning lovely peeps,
I have some exciting news to share today :)
Simon Says Stamp has formed a new Simon Artist Group & little old me was thrilled to be asked to be a DT member, thanks so much Heidi xx. We will be showcasing new release Simon Says Stamp exclusive products & I'll be one of the lucky people who gets to play with them before they are unveiled to the world :) We will be showcasing new releases on our blogs & on Splitcoast Stampers, I love the idea of them all being in Simon's Splitcoast Stampers gallery together as it will be nice to see how we all use the same products differently.

Today is new challenge day at
& this week our challenge is
 ANYTHING GOES

My lovely teamies & I are featuring TIM HOLTZ products on our cards this week, if you have any we'd love to see them but as always it's not compulsory to enter our challenge :)
On today's card I have gone shabby chic & gone back to doing something I always used to do which seems like a very long times ago now & it's distressing & adding lots of Picket Fence crackle paint to all my paper edges and also the embellies.
I have used the super cute Tilda with Daffodil basket from Magnolia's Little Easter collection.
You know when something isn't right and you aren't 100% happy with it, well that's what I felt with the grass as it seemed too light. I put my card on the coffee table last night and kept looking at the grass trying to decide if I should just leave it rather than risk messing it up now it was finished but me being me whipped out those copics about 1.30am this morning & went back in and added some more depth to the grass lol.
I've embossed & glittered the large heart behind my pin, I've made the small "pearls" around the image using Copic opaque white & a cocktail stick, & the white butterfly is made using Martha Stewart Crafters Clay. The pretty resin corner is by Melissa Frances & must be sold out as it's not in store today but Prima also have some very pretty one's here.
The Copic colours I've used are -
skin - E11, E00, E000, R12, hair - E44, E43, E41, dress & headscarf - V000, RV95, RV93, RV91 / C3, C1, C00, basket - W4, W2, W0, flowers - YR24, YR21, Y15, Y13, Y11 / R85, R83, R81, leaves - YG97, YG95, YG93 / YG67, YG63, YG61
