CANDY IS NOW CLOSED

White Christmas x 2 & Last Chance To Enter Candy

Good evening peeps,
Did you all enjoy the Royal Wedding? I did only intend having a look at Kate's dress & making a start on some DT cards but we all ended up watching it all & thoroughly enjoying it, even Gareth who was at work watching it said how amazing it was to see. Jodie did make us cry with laughter when the commentator said they would be going to Clarence House, Jodie piped up "who's Karen" thinking he'd said Karen's House lol.

Today I have two cards to share, one I made a couple of weeks ago but hadn't got round to blogging, and this first one I managed to knock up today as hubby's gone off for his first cricket match of the season. I estimate in about 4 hours time I'll be hearing those familiar words "never again, I'm getting too old for this" as he hobbles around rubbing is joints lol.

I've made these cards for the Hjertbodens Juleblogg, I'm trying to keep up with making the 3 Christmas cards a month for the challenge but what with all my DT work it's easier said than done

The first card I made for the challenge I made early in the month and is HERE

Ingredients -
Image - Magnolia,
Medium - distressed inks,
Papers - Basic Grey,
Flowers - Magnolia, Kort & Gort, Wild Orchid & The Works
Sparkle - crystal glamour dust
anything else from stash
I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
Just Magnolia - recipe, Basic Grey - so charming, The Sweet Stop - fab sketch, Totally Papercrafts - glitter, Moving Along With The Times - anything goes, The Crazy Challenge - use 3 different DP, Top Tip Tuesday - squares, Incy Wincy - buttons & bows, Simon Says Stamp & Show - buttons

My second card today is a cutie hAnglar, and for anyone who doesn't know you can now buy direct from the hAnglar & stAnglar website and their service is always brilliant, the kits I've ordered have always arrived in approx 3-5 days.

Ingredients -
Image - hAnglar
Medium - distressed inks
Papers - Raspberry Road
Flowers - Kort & Gort & Wild Orchid
Snowflakes - MS punch
Fancy Corner - e-crafts, painted with picket fence distressed crackle paint

I do like popping cinnamon sticks on my crimbo cards and decided to try adding a slice of dried orange too which I think works even if it is unusual, & I've distressed the paper edges with picket fence crackle paint

I'm entering this little card in the following challenges -
Lovely hAnglar Only - favourite stamp (not sure if it is now as 3 new kits arrived this morning lol), Crafts 4 Eternity - anything goes, Delightful Challenges - distressing, Stamptacular - pile it on, Craft Your Passion - layers, Sentimental Sundays - lets get punchy

I'm off to water my very dry garden, it looks and feels like we are going to get a storm, it's so warm and all those little thunder flies are about, but just in case it blows over I need to treat my poor plants to a drink.

I will be closing my birthday candy later this evening so if you haven't entered and are a follower of my blog and want to enter leave me a comment on the top post and I'll enter your name in the draw.

Magnolia Mini World

Good morning peeps,
I've noticed that I don't seem to make many cards anymore just because I feel like it, they are either DT cards or card orders, so I decided to turn a blind eye on what needed to be made and dug out my uninked Magnolia Mini World stamps. I bought a few with my last Simon Says Stamp DT spend and also had a few for my birthday. They are fiddly to cut out to make masks but worth the effort as they sit perfectly on small cards and look so cute.

Ingredients -
Images - Magnolia Mini World, Tilda brings a flower & romantic window
Sentiment - Magnolia
Paper - Raspberry Road
Sparkle - crystal glamour dust
Pearls - Hero Arts
Flowers - Wild Orchid
Tools - Marianne Designs die, nesties, Magnolia leaves, MS frond punch, Spellbinders tag

That gorgeous butterfly is here again, can you tell I love it after leaving it neglected in my draw for ages lol.
I'm entering my little card in the following challenges -
Paper Sundaes - sundae bar ( pearls, sparkle, die cuts), Make It Monday - anything goes, CES - Spring colours / image, Our Creative Corner - easel cards, Fussy & Fancy - Spring, Crafty Ann's - fancy folds, Flutterby Wednesday - open theme, The Paper Shelter - inspired by nature, CRAFT - flowers, Pixie Dust - Spring/Easter in pastels

I received this lovely award from Poppy Lover , thank you hunny x. I'm not too sure of the rules as the translation wasn't great but you know I'm a rebel and find it impossible to pick only a few bloggers for awards lol

That's me done peeps.
Please make sure you pop back tomorrow as we've a special challenge at
SIMON SAYS STAMP
with even more fabulous prizes than usual!
Thanks for stopping by

Someone Special - Totally Tilda DT Card and Cute Daisy Mae!!

Good morning peeps & Happy Easter.
The Easter bunny has been very kind to me & bought me lots of lovely yummy chocolate, o.k so I am the Easter bunny in my house but that's irrelevant lol.

Today is new challenge day at
& this fortnights challenge is

Ingredients -
Butterflies - Magnolia Spring Stamp Club, larger butterfly available here
Papers - Papercellar, Magnolia & K & Co (a present from lovely mummy, thank you xx)
Sentiment - Sentiments 4 You (thanks Lynne xx)
Flowers - Kort & Gort & Wild Orchid
Pearls - Blue Moon
Sparkle - crystal glamour dust
Tools - MS eyelet lace punch around the page, Magnolia Doo Hickey Swirl, Marianne Designs foliage die ( a present from lovely Liz, thanks hun xx)

I've used one of my favourite Magnolia papers Lace Flowers to paper piece sweet Tilda's dress. I masked the butterfly's wings off so I just stamped the body and antenna onto my card and stamped, coloured, glittered & fussy cut 2 butterflies and adhered the body only so I could 3D them. I made the buttons by stamping them onto the Lace Flowers paper and then covering them with glossy accents.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
Just Magnolia - fab sketch, Cupcake Craft - lots of layers, Everybody Art - pearls, Ladybug Crafts - anything goes, Top Tip Tuesday - open challenge, 7 Kids - Easter/Spring, Anything Goes - pink & brown, Cooking It Up With Katie - recipe, Flutterby Wednesday - open theme, CRAFT - flowers, Delightful Challenge - paper piecing / peircing, Hanna & Friends - pink & brown, Crafts 4 Eternity - handmade buttons, Stamp Something - flowers, buttons & sparkle

Some of you may remember I posted a piccy a little while ago of the problem I often have when I try and photograph my card, as you can see once again Daisy Mae gets between the card and the camera, that little girl isn't camera shy lol.

I'm still battling with the garden trying to get it all weeded, painted, tidied etc, I will get there but I am so slow as I have to keep stopping to rest my shoulder. I always remember what my friend Louie used to say "a garden is never finished, there's always work to be done" He didn't half talk a load of rubbish a lot of the time, but I think he was actually right with that one which is probably why I remember it so well lol.

Before I go I've a quick reminder that the
special children's challenge is still running until Saturday the 30th of April, so hide your copics, get out those pencils and let the kiddies have a play.

Who Laid that! - Paper Play DT

Good morning peeps,
Are you all loving the beautiful hot weather we are having in the UK? I've was a busy girl yesterday afternoon pottering in my garden while hubby was painting the fences, and would you believe I was actually sensible for a change!!! Instead of going at it like a bull in a china shop and keep going no matter how painful my shoulder gets, I decided to stop and rest as soon as I started feeling that horrible burning, stabbing pain. OMG what a shock from the woman who pushes herself to her limit and beyond lol. Hubby is still in shock that he didn't have to tell me off and lecture me about doing too much for a change, usually I get the "It's your own fault, don't expect any sympathy from me" lol.

Today is new challenge day at
& this week our challenge is

There's no card from me this challenge, but instead I've a giant egg!

I bought a vile looking egg from my local craft shop, I say vile as it was shiny & bright yellow with big dark purple pansy's on it until I got my hands on it, it looks a bit different now though.

I painted it with gesso to prime it and then covered it with Tim Holtz picket fence crackle paint. The gorgeous wired white ribbon I bought at a craft show, the beading I bought last year from my local craft shop and the lace is off ebay

The flowers are a mixture of Magnolia, Kort & Godt, The Works and Wild Orchid, and the feather is from my stash

Best of all look what's inside, yum lol.

I'm entering my egg in the following challenges -
For Fun - Easter, Penny's - Easter, Die Cut Dreams - Easter, A Spoon Full Of Sugar - a celebration, Creative Belli - eggs/bunnies (old & forgotten -  beading), Creative Inspirations - Easter, Cutie Sunday - Easter, Dream Valley - Easter, Lexi's - anything but a card, Pear Tree - Easter, Stempeltraume - Easter, Kreative Stamp Friends - Easter package, Stamp Magic - Easter, Craft Your Days Away - Easter, Crazy 4 Challenges - Easter gift, Our Creative Corner - 3D Easter project, Simply Create - eggs-tra special

A Giant Cupcake & Tilda's A Shepherd - Addicted To Stamps DT Card

Good Morning peeps,
Thank you so much for the beautiful Birthday cards & gifts I've received from some lovely blogging friends, I will be doing the rounds later to thank you all.

I had one of those fabby days yesterday where I got loads of things done in my craft room, not card making but cleaning, tidying and sorting which I know isn't everyones cup of tea but being a neat freak I love doing lol.

Today is new challenge day at
and this fortnight we have a fabby sketch for you by our lovely Nadell.
We were thrilled to have a whopping 92 entries for our very first challenge, we'd love to have you join us again this challenge. We are going to be having a top 3 so now all the entries are in the DT are busy trying to decide who is their favourite, not easy I can tell you.

Before I share my card with you I want to wish a very Happy Birthday to my lovely new teamie Bea who is obviously fabulous being born on the same day as moi lol.

Ingredients -
Sentiment - Magnolia
Flowers - Magnolia, Prima, Kort & Gort & stash
Tools - Woodware mini butterfly punch, Nesties, Martha Stewart vintage floral punch around the page

I've added some gorgeous gathered lace behind the nesties for a bit of added texture, and distressed the paper edges with Picket Fence crackle paint.
It was so nice having such lovely weather to be able to photograph my card outside, the picture is always much clearer but for some reason it never seems to show up the sparkle but as you well know by now it's definitely there lol.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
Stamp Magic - Easter, Magnolia Down Under - Easter, Stampin For The Weekend - Easter, CRAFT- Easter, Delightful Challenges - Easter, Totally Papercrafts - Spring, Top Tip Tuesday - Spring has sprung, 7 Kids College Fund - Easter/Spring, Flutterby Wednesday - soft pastels, Little Red Wagon - Easter, Penny's - Easter, Die Cut Dreams - Easter, Craft Your Days Away - Easter, Tellens Place - Easter, Creative Inspirations - Easter

Jodie has made her first ever birthday cake for me, aww. She used a giant cupcake mould and it took forever to cook, or maybe that was just me being impatient as the smell was tormenting me and I wanted it lol. Out came the recipe books and she was even daft enough to ask me the queen of packet mixes for advice! Naturally I sent her off to ask hubby as I didn't have a clue, my skills in the kitchen consist of cleaning it, and as far as what goes on in that oven it's safer for everyone that it's none of my business lol.

Before I go I want to say a big thank you to all of you lovely peeps who left such sweet comments on my niece Gemma's card, she loved reading them, and if you missed it scroll down a little bit more to the next post and take a peek it's beautiful.
That's me done peeps, I've loads of you to catch up with so I'd best get a move on.
Thanks for stopping by
