Good evening peeps,
Did you all enjoy the Royal Wedding? I did only intend having a look at Kate's dress & making a start on some DT cards but we all ended up watching it all & thoroughly enjoying it, even Gareth who was at work watching it said how amazing it was to see. Jodie did make us cry with laughter when the commentator said they would be going to Clarence House, Jodie piped up "who's Karen" thinking he'd said Karen's House lol.
Today I have two cards to share, one I made a couple of weeks ago but hadn't got round to blogging, and this first one I managed to knock up today as hubby's gone off for his first cricket match of the season. I estimate in about 4 hours time I'll be hearing those familiar words "never again, I'm getting too old for this" as he hobbles around rubbing is joints lol.
I've made these cards for the Hjertbodens Juleblogg, I'm trying to keep up with making the 3 Christmas cards a month for the challenge but what with all my DT work it's easier said than done
The first card I made for the challenge I made early in the month and is HERE
Ingredients -
Image - Magnolia,
Medium - distressed inks,
Papers - Basic Grey,
Flowers - Magnolia, Kort & Gort, Wild Orchid & The Works
Sparkle - crystal glamour dust
anything else from stash
I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
Just Magnolia - recipe, Basic Grey - so charming, The Sweet Stop - fab sketch, Totally Papercrafts - glitter, Moving Along With The Times - anything goes, The Crazy Challenge - use 3 different DP, Top Tip Tuesday - squares, Incy Wincy - buttons & bows, Simon Says Stamp & Show - buttons
My second card today is a cutie hAnglar, and for anyone who doesn't know you can now buy direct from the hAnglar & stAnglar website and their service is always brilliant, the kits I've ordered have always arrived in approx 3-5 days.
Ingredients -
Image - hAnglar
Medium - distressed inks
Papers - Raspberry Road
Flowers - Kort & Gort & Wild Orchid
Snowflakes - MS punch
Fancy Corner - e-crafts, painted with picket fence distressed crackle paint
I do like popping cinnamon sticks on my crimbo cards and decided to try adding a slice of dried orange too which I think works even if it is unusual, & I've distressed the paper edges with picket fence crackle paint
I'm entering this little card in the following challenges -
Lovely hAnglar Only - favourite stamp (not sure if it is now as 3 new kits arrived this morning lol), Crafts 4 Eternity - anything goes, Delightful Challenges - distressing, Stamptacular - pile it on, Craft Your Passion - layers, Sentimental Sundays - lets get punchy
I'm off to water my very dry garden, it looks and feels like we are going to get a storm, it's so warm and all those little thunder flies are about, but just in case it blows over I need to treat my poor plants to a drink.
I will be closing my birthday candy later this evening so if you haven't entered and are a follower of my blog and want to enter leave me a comment on the top post and I'll enter your name in the draw.
Thanks for stopping by
