Good morning peeps,
OMG we've had thunder and lightening & more is forecast today & I hate it. I have been in some pretty scary situations and coped but one rumble of thunder or a flash of lightening & that's me reduced to a quivering wreck hiding in the cupboard with my welly boots on, those rubber soles may just save my life you know lol.
My poor debit card took one heck of a battering yesterday as I bought myself a nice new pink 8GB laptop which is being delivered today as it wasn't in stock in store. It had £220 off so instead of thinking about what I've spent I think it's best to look on it as I've saved looooooads of money lol. My little laptop hasn't been right since I dropped it on the floor when I nodded off blogging, I have to wiggle the charger connector around to get it to charge & sometimes I can't get it to make the connection to charge & then it shuts down on me, the repair & new motherboard it needs costs almost as much as I paid for it so just isn't worth it. I knew nothing at all about computers when I bought my laptop & have only just realised it only has 2GB memory, no wonder it kept telling me I need to buy more RAM lol.
As well as a nice new pink laptop the new Magnolia's went on pre-order, sigh, need I say more lol.
Today is new challenge day at
& this week it's
My lovely teamies & I were all kindly given a set of Paper Smooches to play with & I was very happy when I opened the packet and saw I'd been sent Sugar Rush as they are just perfect for me.
Originally when I looked at the stamps I thought as they are what I'd call "clean & simple" images I'd make a CAS card, which I did in about 20 minutes, & 5 minutes later it was in the bin! I love some of the CAS cards I see but they just aren't me. I always feel like I haven't made enough effort with a CAS card as they are so quick to make, & I dare say the people who always make CAS cards probably look at my cards in horror at my mass of embellies lol, but thank goodness we aren't all the same as blogging would probably get a bit boring.
I decided that these cute little stamps would have to work "Mandy style" & I am actually pleased with the result!
Blimey I'm waffling a lot today, sorry peeps, here's my card -

Mandy this is just stunning as usual :) Love all of the details. Congrats to Kasey too! :D
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Mandy. Most of the time I make CAS cards and struggle to get out of that comfort zone. It's why I like your cards so much - very different from what I make but also very inspiring.
ReplyDeleteSeeing your creations pushes me to try a bit more, to try a different style and not get stuck in that CAS mould. As you say thankfully we are different or else it would be so boring looking at the same style again and again hugs Karen x
