Good morning peeps,
I'm not going to beat around the bush I am in a right old strop it has taken me hours to type my post!
I hate this new computer, blogging is a nightmare as the darn thing has a mind of it's own and shuts down tabs when I click on them, on the few blogs it allows me to visit I type a comment & suddenly it decides to reload so everything I write vanishes, & I can't use the back button as when I do it then decides to open a new tab for me instead of going back, but if I click on the tab it's so kindly decided to open for me it closes it again!
I had a tantrum when speaking to yet another technical help man on the phone yesterday. I was describing all the things I wanted to do to this flipping laptop & by the time, in my mind I had attacked it with a hammer, stamped on it, drowned it in the fishpond, cut the power cord up into a thousand pieces etc, and finished it off by throwing it off the top of the multistory car park I felt so much better visualising the pink things smashed to pieces & the man on the other end of the phone was in fits of laughter, which from a technical point of view wasn't at all helpful lol.
If one of us can't come up with a cure today then it's going back to the shop & I want my money back as I've told him exactly what he can do with his idea of sending me a replacement lol.
Today is new challenge day at
& this week out challenge is
This week my lovely teamies & I are featuring Faber-Castell's products, on my card I have used green & blue gelato's.
At first I thought I'd never get the hang of them & I so nearly reached for my watercolour pencils but me being stubborn got there in the end and I watercoloured with my gelatos & I honestly really liked them once I'd got my head around water colouring with what looks like posh crayons lol.
I'm still playing with some older neglected Magnolia's that have never been given an outing, the poor little love being overlooked by a younger model lol.
Ingredients -
Papers - Simple Stories, Baby Steps (love these)
Resin Corner - Melissa Frances
Flowers - Prima & stash
Pearls - Melissa Frances
Twine - Hemptique
Tools - MS Flourish accent edge punch, classic 3-in-1 butterfy punch & frond leaf punch, Magnolia Doo Hickey Swirl & vintage mistletoe
As always our lovely Heidi is sponsoring our challenge with a $50 spending spree in the
ANDFaber-Castel will also be giving a lucky entrant a lovely Mixed Media Sampler set and a 4 pack of Gelato's !! :-)
I will pop back and enter some challenges later when hopefully I have got to the bottom of the problem of tabs closing when I click on them!
I am going to take a deep breath, get myself a cup of coffee & see if I can try an earlier version of Google Chrome like I had with my old Windows Vista, if that fails it's back to searching through help pages again, why do I have to be flipping stubborn & keep trying lol.
Thanks for stopping by

ReplyDeleteIn this special celebratory year of good old Great Britain and the fabulous Olympics that shining torch brings me to this..............
It has been almost a year that I have carried the baton of Bridget :) Many a wonderful comments and thoughts surrounding it.........but I think the time has come to pass the Bridget title onto one who so clearly needs it at the moment............with such a wonderful knew toy and yet it appears to cause you all sorts of dilemma's, you sound as if you really need to throw the PINK!!! think out of the window. So why Bridget did you buy a pink one, did you not know that this was an alarm bell ringing instantly :) do feel so sad for you but patience my dear I am sure that it will all come out in the wash.
I adore the shaping my dearest Bridget on this gorgeous card and stunning stitch work (did I tell you that I have played with my sewing machine) was most impressed, although it took me most of a day to do it.............. love the floral array and beautiful corner piece along with that stunning bow
hugs and lots of love the baton transferee

I have to say, computers are like an old jumper, you get used to the feel of them and know their faults, so getting a new one is always a nightmare! I had the same problem when changing to Windows 7, but have got the hang of it now! Eventually...
