Get In Shape - Simon Says Stamp DT Card

Hello lovely peeps!
Thank you so much for your well wishes for our dear old dog Dude. I spent the first three days after Dude's op beating myself up for going ahead with it as he was so poorly & we feared the worse, but thankfully our miracle boy is once again bounding around & back to his usual cheeky self & not acting at all like the 16 year old pensioner he is lol.

I've had a busy few days and have at last got my craft room all organised and looking pretty, & more importantly ready to play in. I'm definitely going to change the wallpaper on the feature wall as soon as I actually decide which wallpaper paper I want as my short list contains five different wallpapers at the moment!

 It's Wednesday which means ..........

 at
& this week our challenge is
Get In Shape
so no square or rectangle shaped cards this week!
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog
We are showcasing
Lawn Fawn
products on our cards this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used
Don't forget you can enter our challenge 5 times and there is no limit to how many challenges you combine your entry with.
Do you use Instagram ?  If so, please add #ssswchallenge to your challenge entry uploads so we can see them on there too.
Don't despair my Tilda loving friends she will be back on my blog very soon as I am almost finished colouring my first Tilda image in over two months!

I've used Lawn Fawn's cute Winter Sparrows stamps & dies on my card & I decided to change the Sparrow's into little Robin's! I have used MFT's Jumbo Fishtail Banners dies to create the shape of my card this week, and the background is created by blending Pumice Stone distress ink over my card before using Simon's lovely falling snow stencil with embossing paste.
The copic colours I've used are -
E44, E43, E41 / R05, R02 / RV95, RV93, RV91 / R85, R83, R81

I want to leave you with a photo that makes me smile!

This little fella is stray we have named "Roger" as in "Roger the lodger" of course lol.
Roger was really nervous & unbelieveably skinny when he first appeared in our garden about 3 months ago. He used to scarper over the fence as soon as we went out in the garden so we started talking very softly to him from the window, & putting food out for him & I can honestly say I have never seen an animal eat so fast!
We've gradually gained his trust & built up a little more contact with him & now this little chap appears at least twice a day for some food and cream & will sit on the table looking in the patio door for someone to go out & feed him. Roger has gained weight & will happily sniff our hands & isn't at all fazed by us sitting to the table talking to him while he is eating.
I do find it really strange that none of our own four cats or the two dogs are a bit bothered by him being in the garden! The cats will even go up & greet Roger & sit with him & neither of the dogs chase him off yet it's all out war if any other cat braves putting a paw in their garden lol.

I'm entering Roger The Lodger into Simon Says Stamp's competition on Instagram to find a best furry friend for the adorable Simon as I think Roger deserves a best friend after his hard life :)

If you have a fur baby you want to enter click the pic for more details

  9. Mandy your card is adorable and I completely understand the Roger story. We have 4 fur babies ourselves all of whom were rescues. Our last was Leo who we brought in as he was living in a culvert poor baby. I am thinking that all of yours are excepting as Roger really belongs with your family :)
