Happy Birthday! - Simon Says Stamp DT

We are celebrating the Wednesday Challenge’s 8th Birthday his week! Where has the time gone!  They do say that time flies when you’re having fun and we hope that you have as much fun with the challenges as we do! We all really appreciate YOU for joining in with us and we look forward to seeing your birthday themed entries!

Today's card features a selection of lovely Simon Says Stamp goodies & I absolutely love the little elephant, it's so cute.

The background was created by stamping a selection of balloons & stars from the cute Birthday Celebration stamp set with Versamark Watermark Ink Pad & then heat embossing them with Simon's White Embossing Powder. I gave the background a wash of diluted Broken China distress ink to add some subtle colour & watercoloured the little balloons. The Sunrise Border die cut was also watercoloured & I gave this a slightly stronger mix of the same distress inks to draw the eye rather than have it blend into the background..

The sweet elephant was coloured with Copics & then fussy cut & sat on the Scalloped Border die cut. I stamped one balloon with Memento, coloured & glittered & fussy cut it before adding it to my card using a foam pad.

The copic colours I've used are -

C3, C1, C00 / R83, R81, V000 / V01, V00, V0000.
