Hello lovely peeps!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas & Santa was kind to you :)
We had such a strange Christmas this year! It was our first since we lost my mum, Gareth is in Australia, & Jodie & I both had to work on Christmas Day so we would be celebrating Christmas on Boxing Day instead! Everything was just wrong, even the weather was too warm!
On Christmas Day morning we took little Christmas trees to the crematorium for my mum & my dad, & our friends Louie & Paul's graves. On the way back we dropped Jodie off as she needed to open pub & just after we got home my baby boy Face Timed me from Australia which made my day. I was so happy to see & speak to him, & was determined not to let him see me cry. I was doing really well trying to be all bubbly & happy for him until Gareth said "love you loads & I miss you muma" & that was the end of that! The floodgates opened again, the tissues were back out & my nose looked like Rudolph's again lol.
Everyone at work was feeling deflated & shattered at the end of our shift on Christmas Day night & it felt odd that hubs, Jodie & I still had our "Christmas Day" to look forward to on Boxing Day! It was just as lovely & a lot less emotional celebrating Christmas a day late this year. Hubs & Jode had the usual fight over the tub of Hero's, hubs cooked an amazing roast turkey feast, & the best part was just being able to spend time relaxing together as Jodie has been so busy in the pub since she became the landlady at the end of May.
It's time to get down to business as I have lots to share with you today. I have created a Party bunting, Party invitations & also a birthday card for today's post :)

For this weeks challenge I used the lovely Simon Says Stamp Party Large Circle die to create a set of six small 4" x 4"party invitations. These were so quick and easy to create & I kept looking at the die & thinking of other ways to use it & thought I could also create a lovely bunting with this die!
I started to have a play at creating the bunting & as this was just an experiment I die cut another six white Party Circles which was enough to create a bunting long enough to hang along the top of my dresser. I then cut five equal lengths of Hemptique twine to attach between each party circle using Aleen's tacky glue and then cut two longer pieces of twine for the ends of my bunting. To finish my bunting off I die cut five stars from Simon's Bundle Of Stitched Shapes and popped a Hero Arts gem in the center of each star, and then attached the stars to the twine between each of the Party Circles.
I love trying to think up other ways of using my crafting goodies & with this one die it's easy to create lovely Party decorations, Party bags, as well as cards / invitations.
I'm entering my Party creations in the following challenge -The Crazy Challenge - celebrations
As always our lovely Heidi is sponsoring our challenge with a $50 voucher for the fabulous
I have also been busy creating some cards for custom orders and here is one of them!
I've used a gorgeous Lili Of The Valley stamp which I have had for ages & was looking forward to colouring it up but it just got lost in among my stamp collection and I forgot I had bought it!I've added some pretty sparkle to the icing on the cupcakes and also dug out my neglected Glossy Accents & added it to the fruits, butterflies & the roses on the cupcakes. Most of the dies I've used are Magnolia Doo Hickeys & the embellishments are all from my stash.
I have used so many different copic combinations on this image that I lost track of them all I'm afraid.
The papers I've used are by Magnolia, the "Mum" sentiment is from Mama Elephants Lovely Mums stamp set, & I've stamped the "60" using Avery Elle's Lovely Letters. The Lovely Letters stamp set is probably one of the most useful stamp sets I've got & have used this many times over the years.
I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
Deep Ocean - anything goes, Creative Card Crew - anything goes, Bunny Zoes Crafts - sparkle, The Cutie Pie Challenge - bingo (top row, punch, pearls & stitching).
Thanks so much for stopping by, wishing you all a very Happy & Healthy New Year
