Hello peeps,
I am absolutely flipping shattered! Today is the first day of hubby's 8 day holiday & would you believe he wanted to "browse" around town before hitting the supermarket grocery shopping, who in their right mind browses around the shops in town a week before Christmas when they don't need to buy presents? To totally finish me off after"browsing" around the shops & lunch in town I'd just parked up outside Morrison's after already doing Sainsbury's & he asks "what day do you want to go shopping at the end of the week for anything we run out of or forget to buy"!!! He knew from the look I gave him I wanted to harm him right there & then regardless of how many witnesses there were lol. This man is insane, all of my friends say their hubby's detest shopping & do anything they can to avoid it where as mine would go every day if I let him lol. To save my sanity, & him from harm if anyone has more Christmas shopping to do & wants the company of someone who loves shopping, happily carries all the bags / boxes & even opens the doors for you as he's very well trained, please feel free to borrow him between now Christmas, I need him back for Christmas though as being an ex-chef he always cooks an amazing Christmas dinner lol.
Today is new challenge day at
& our challenge is
This challenge we would love to see a calendar or calendar page with our favourite girlie Tilda on :)
Our challenge will last 4 weeks as our lovely Susie has given us DT girls some much appreciated time off with our families over Christmas, as much as I love my DT's Christmas is always such a busy time it's so nice not having lots of DT commenting to try & fit in as well, thanks so much hunny xx
For my creation I decided to make a Christmas scene calendar page using a Papermania bare basics kraft calendar I bought about 2 years ago intending to decorate a page a month but until now was just another item sat in a draw in my craft room that I hadn't got around to starting.
The calendar page was a free printable I found on Pinterest, the gorgeous stamp in the centre of the page is my favourite Magnolia Christmas stamp & it says Happy Christmas in various languages & was a gift from the lovely & super talented Camilla, anything else that isn't listed at the bottom of my post is from my stash.
The Copic colours I've used are -
Tilda, skin - E11, E00, E000, R12, hair - E44, E43, E41, scarf & mittens - E74, E71, E70 / C1,C00, clothes & boots - W4, W2, W0, W00 / C1, C0, C00

I have a second DT project to share today as due to laptop problems I couldn't join my lovely ADDICTED TO STAMPS teamies last Sunday for the BINGO challenge and would you believe that Mrs OTT on the embellies here has opted for the middle row down including CAS!
A huge thank you to everyone who kindly emailed me with info about dog digis and offers of images they had created, I can't remember if I got around to thanking everyone personally before my laptop conked out on me but thank you so much.
One lady suggested Whimsy as having good animal images which reminded me I had a few Whimsy digis saved on a memory stick from my old laptop and in among them was this cute dog which I loved colouring and was perfect for a man's card :)
The Copic colours I've used are -
Fur & eyes - E37, E35, E33, E31, sign - E25, E31, E50 / W2, W1, W00
The scrabble tiles were another free printable I found on Pinterest from Fuzzimo.com

These are both great cards. The second one is so adorable!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing a great job of turning out cards when it is such a busy season Good for you!
The calendar card is such a great idea and coloured so beautifully. Love the subtle look of it.
You husband makes me smile. Mine is the same...Every year he leaves his gifts for his mates till the last minute. Around the time that he starts to think about them, he usually asks me if I have got anything yet for his good friends Mum who is in a nursing home and his daughter who is 19!!!
Then he wants to head out to the shops in the nightmare of last minute shoppers. It is a 20 minute circling nightmare just trying to get a parking spot at the mall! All the really nice things are picked over and the shoppers are kind of cranky!
I would rather stay home and send him out alone to shop, but somehow he thinks that is no fun!!!
OMG Mandy!!!!! These are both amazing!!!! I LOVE your colouring, it's always perfect!!!! I can't believe you used E70s for her mitts and scarf, it looks like the most soft pink! The dog is so sweet, love your man card! Thanks for joining us this week at Marvelous Magnolia. Hugs, Brigitte
