Good job I cracked on with it as my baby girl came home from her college placement feeling poorly and is fast asleep on the sofa curled up with one of the kittens, I just hope she doesn't dribble on my new cushions lol.

So sweet!

Morning peep's,
I've been a busy girl making DT cards and had a couple of really bad headaches so all I've managed to do blog wise was a really quick post on Thursday as it was Paper Play DT card day, so today I'm hoping to chill out and get some blogging done and see what I've missed.

Today's card is a sweet Tilda and I've also used a very big background stamp and nestie on it so no need or room for lots of layers.
I'm entering my card in the following challenges -

Just Magnolia - hearts & flowers
Cute Card Thursday - blooming gorgeous!
Saturday Spotlight - bigger is better

Ingredients -
Images - Magnolia
Medium - Koh-i-noor pencils blended with sansodor and paper stumps

As you can see I've added loads of glamour dust anywhere I can lol, I've also added glossy accents over Tilda's lollipop and the front of the jar

My lovely do crafts friend Tasha has at last joined blogland after resisting saying she wouldn't have time to keep a blog, so please pop over and pay Tasha a visit her cards are so scrummy.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend and thanks for stopping by

Baby Boy card and more news!

Hello peep's,
I've been a busy bee tidying and organising my stash, it was nice to discover some lovely stuff I'd forgot I had, and not so nice to discover I'd wasted so much money on a load of rubbish that I bought when I started crafting just over a year ago, I don't know what possessed me to buy it lol.

I have more news, the super talented and lovely Lisa has asked me to join their fabby DT at Sophisticats which I've been really looking forward to, and Lisa will also be joining the DT at Scrap The Art. I know some of you have emailed me and said Scrap The Art sounds complicated or that you can't paint so just to clarify you don't have to paint (thankfully!) unless you want to of course and basically each challenge will show a piece of art work that you can take inspiration from such as the theme, colours, shapes whatever you like, so please come and join us as a follower and play along, the first challenge is the second week in February.

Today's card is for the following challenges -
Mojo Monday - fab sketch
Simon Says Stamp - new baby
Scrap and Stamp - use up your stash
Hand Full of Stamps -swirls, swirls, swirls

Ingredients -
Image - Forever Friends, sadly neglected until today
Medium - watercolour pencils and dovecraft chalks
Papers - Magnolia & scraps box
Tulle & blue flowers - Tabbycrafts
anything else from stash
I've glamour dusted the flowers and parts of the image, I wonder if anyone's noticed I love my sparkle lol.

Thanks for stopping by

Morning peep's,
A few days ago I had an email from the lovely Raven asking if I would like to be on her DT for a new challenge blog that is starting next month called Scrap The Art, after a brief think about it I accepted and the really good news is that Raven is still looking for 1 more DT member and also GDT's so if you are interested please contact Raven at scraptheart@gmail.com
Today's card is my first DT card for Creative Inspirations and the lovely Maxine has come up with a fabby sketch for us all to follow, please pop over to the challenge blog and join us.

Ingredients - Image - Magnolia
Medium - Koh-i-noor pencils blended with sansodor and paper stumps
Papers - MME Bloom & Grow
Roses - Wild Orchid Crafts
Dew drops - Robin's nest and Tabbycrafts
Charm & lace ribbon - stash

As usual I've added some glamour dust and stickles for my little bit of sparkle.
On the inside I've added another little Tilda and I've not stamped a sentiment as I wanted to leave it blank for Jodie to write her own message as this card was for the ladies at the nursery where Jodie has been doing her college placement and loved it, so much so she didn't want her placement to end and has been offered some work there during her holidays from college which Jodie is thrilled about.
Must dash the housework is calling, thanks for stopping by

Paper Play DT card and an appeal!

Hello peep's,

I want to start my post today by appealing for your generosity in sending a card to Julye's son Andrew. Andrew is 15 years old and has already had more operations and difficulties in his life than most, and a few days ago Andrew had another operation on his foot to try and straighten it and Julye has asked if anyone would be kind enough to send Andrew a card to cheer him along and generally brighten his day. Andrew's goal is to be able to walk without his frame or a stick by the time he is 18 years old, and as this is something most of us take for granted but is Andrew's dream please could you not use images of boys running around on your cards. For more details and to read about Andrew's story please visit Julye's blog. I wanted to help Julye with spreading the word and asking people to send a card to Andrew as my Jodie had a rough time last year and was in and out of hospital, a lot of my Do Craft buddy's were kind enough to send her cards and she was over the moon with them and they definitely helped to put a smile back on her little face, as one of my buddy's Hazel said "us mum's will try anything to make our babies happy".

Please help to spread the word and lets make this young man smile.

Onto today's card which is my Paper Play DT card, our Kate has been a meanie and set the challenge of using handwriting on our cards! I usually write quite neatly and should have just written normally but no me being me tried too hard and it ended up looking rubbish lol.
I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
Fab's Big Christmas Card Challenge - hand written sentiment
Everybody Art - fab sketch
Cutie Stampers - Magnolia
Bah Humbug - all that glitters

Ingredients -
Image - Magnolia
Medium - Koh-i-noor pencils blended with paper stumps and sansodor
Paper - Magnolia
Roses - Wild Orchid
Charm - Quixotic Paperie
Doily and ribbon from stash
I've distressed the edge of the image and papers with distressed ink Tattered Rose, and I've added plenty of stickles for that bit of sparkle

Apologies to the lovely Shirley and Sandra for not posting the awards they kindly sent me I will do that next time as I thought you'd be fed up with reading my waffle by now as it's been a long post lol
Love Mandy xx

A big boy card!

Hello peep's,
Thank you for all the lovely messages and emails for Jodie following the tragic death of her friend Sophie. It was Sophie's funeral yesterday and we learnt afterwards that Sophie had been an organ donor and she has helped to improve or save the lives of 8 other people, one of which is a 4 month old baby girl.
