I lightly blended Tumbled Glass Distress Ink  over my card stock and once dry stamped some of the pretty snowflakes from Snowflake Builder stamp set using my SSS embossing ink pad & sprinkled on the embossing powder & heat embossed them. I also stamped more snowflakes using Simon Says Stamps Fog Gray & Surf Blue Ink Pads & then highlighted some areas with a Sakura white gel pen.

I die cut a Mini Snowflake Mandala from the same SSS card kit using Gold Glitter card stock & I also heat embossed a banner & sentiment from the Snowflake Builder stamp set which I fussy cut before adding to my card.

My second card is very similar I just added some  Broken China Distress Ink in places to my backgroundthe pretty SSS Merry Christmas sentiment stamp and a Prima flower & twine.

I have created a bookmark for this weeks challenge & it features an adorable clear stamps set called Bee Yourself which I received in my SSS July Card Kit Of The Month. This card kit sold out quickly but you can still purchase the different elements individually. I also used Simon's Embossing Ink Pad, White Embossing Powder, Black Pigment Ink & some Treasure Chest sequins.

The cute bees were stamped in Simon's Black Pigment Ink onto Canson XL watercolour paper & water coloured using Altenew Watercolour pans. This set of pans is currently sold out but there are many alternative watercolours here!

I stamped the honeycomb stamps from the Bee Yourself Stamps Set in embossing ink & heat embossed them using Simon white fine detail embossing powder

I watercoloured the honeycomb with my Altenew pans & then added in some Wild Honey Distress Ink to add more depth to the honeycomb, & then splattered on some of my paint, distress ink & white gouache. Once dry I added some Treasure Chest Sequins, Simply White, Pale Gold & Buttermilk Nuvo Crystal Drops.

While I was playing with my SSS July card kit I decided to make a little card for my daughter using the same supplies & techniques as above.
I die cut my card base from Simon's Sunshine card stock and Simon's 3 Sided Scallop wafer die. I have used this die so many times before so it's definitely a must have for me!

Something New - Simon Says Stamp DT

Good afternoon lovely peeps & Happy New Year!
I am hoping this year will allow me a little more crafty time as 2018 wasn't the best of years for my family! I've been needed to help more in my daughters pub while she is still recovering from being so ill, & as well as working my job that has taken up my spare time.

I am kick starting the New Year with a couple of Christmas cards to try & get ahead again as I send a lot of hand made Christmas cards to friends & family & somehow never have quite enough!

This week our challenge is
Something New!
If Santa brought you some new crafty goodies we would love to see them! You could also make something for a New Baby, New Job, New Home, New Life Adventures etc.

This week I am featuring some New Supplies which is my Simon Says Stamp January Card Kit.

The cute image has been coloured with my copics & I have created my background using Simon's white glitter card stock, Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders dies & a selection of distress inks. The sentiment and snowflakes are from the Snow Much Fun stamp set included in the kit, and this set can also be bought individually.
I have stamped my sentiment & snowflakes using Simon's White pigment ink pad & added a few splats of watered down gesso to my background, some Nuvo Simply White Crystal Drops & a pom pom from the kit to add a little more dimension.

I've also created another little card using my January card kit but with a sentiment from the Christmas Cheer stamp set which was in my December Card Kit.
The lovely sparkly silver glitter paper was recycled from one of my Christmas crackers! After pulling the crackers I was about to bin them & suddenly my inner magpie kicked in & I was drawn to the sparkle & saved the crackers paper & also some of the embellishments on them.

***Edited *** I've had lots of emails asking about the shape of my card so apologies for missing that out! The scalloped card base has been created using Simon Says Stamps 3 Sided Scallop Die. This is just one of Simon Says Stamps fabulous own brand products so is only available to purchase from Simon Says Stamp.

Halloween / Spooky! - Simon Says Stamp DT

Good afternoon lovely peeps!

This week our challenge is
HALLOWEEN / SPOOKY!

Echo Park logo

products on our cards this week.

This week I am featuring Echo Parks Creepy Bats 6x6 stencil which I have stenciled onto white card using Black Soot Distress Ink & an ink blending tool.

The inky orange background was created using the alcohol inks I received in Simon Says Stamps October Card Kit. I'm definitely not an inky girl but I enjoyed having a go at using alcohol inks & I love that this card kit got me to step outside my comfort zone & try something new! I didn't have any of the alcohol blending solution to add to my background so I used my copic colourless blending solution as I figured they would probably work the same being as both are alcohol based & it worked a treat!

The image is from Simon's adorable Hey Pumpkin stamp set & I coloured it with my copics and fussy cut it, then added it to a die cut of one of Simon Says Stamps large tags.

The sentiment is from the same Hey Pumpkin Stamp Set and was stamped in Simon's Black Pigment Ink.

I also have a very quick card to share which I created using one of the pretty images from Simon Says Stamps October Card Kit & has been coloured with my copics.

I love the cleanness of this card and literally created it in minutes!

Life has been extremely hectic the past couple of weeks so I've not had any time to create until yesterday when I made sure that for the first time in what feels like ages I had a whole day at home so I could relax & play my craft room.

My daughter Jodie was very poorly in hospital for a while & is now thankfully resting & recovering slowly at home.
It will be a long time before she is well enough to go back to running her pub so in the meantime the rest of our family are all taking it in turns to learn how to hold the fort & keep the pub open for her. I always knew it wasn't an easy job to do but I had no clue about all the "behind the scene jobs" involved! I've learnt how to do a line clean, change a barrel, order the beer, change the gas for the pumps etc, & what with still doing my own job as well a day at home yesterday was very much needed!
The pub trade is definitely not a profession for me but I am quite enjoying working some shifts there, I would just like a bit more energy & a few more hours in the day so I still have some "me time" to create!

Anything Goes - Simon Says Stamp DT

Good afternoon lovely peeps!
I have 3 cards to share with you today, my DT card and also a couple of quick cards created with Simon Says Stamp card kits.

 at
& this week our challenge is

ANYTHING GOES!

& this week the design team are featuring

Stampendous logo

products on our cards.
If you have them we would love to see them but as always it's not compulsory to use them to enter our challenge.

This wasn't the card I had planned to share for today's challenge as I had chosen a Stampendous House Mouse stamp and coloured it before I checked if it was available but it had disappeared from the store, & as I didn't have time to colour another image I dug out this Snowy Postcard image to use.
I have stamped it using Simon's Fog Gray ink as I wanted a soft and shabby look and both the stamp & ink are beautiful but I hadn't thought about how well it would or wouldn't photograph especially in a shaker, & boy has it been a pest to take a half decent picture of! All in all I've not had the best week with my card lol.

I die cut the pretty poinsettia's and blended Spun Sugar distress ink over all of the die cuts pieces & on the largest Tattered Poinsettia I added Shabby Pink Frantage and heat set it, & on the two smaller Simon Says Stamp Poinsettia Parade flowers I have added lots of lovely sparkle using my Tonic Nuvo glue pen & Nuvo Snow Glow Sparkle Dust. I also die cut some Holly leaves using Simon's Holly Collage die and blended Pumice Stone distress ink over them and added the leaves to my flowers.

I also heat embossed Simon Says Stamps Christmas Sweater Background stamp in white embossing powder and then blended Pumice Stone distress ink over it before die cutting a rectangle panel using Simon's Bundle Of Stitched Shapes dies out of to create an overlay for my card.

My next cards were created using Simon Says Stamps August card kit called Mandy's Flowers. The kit sold out but the individual products are available to buy in store and are listed in the kits content list.
On my first card I thought I would have a play with some Daniel Smith watercolours using Debby's palette which is a perfect starting point to try out these watercolors before spending out lots of money on individual tubes. Even me who is not a huge lover of, or the best at water colouring have found these lovely to work with & I will be buying more.

Supplies used - Monthly card kitCanson Water colour paper,  Hero Arts pearl.

My last card today has again been created using some of the contents of Simon's August card kit as so quick & easy I surprised myself as I usually fiddle & debate if I have done enough but I actually just left it alone after adding some Crystal Drops
I remembered after I had finished that there is the cutest, dinky bottle of Bubblegum Crystal Drops included in the kit which I could have used, I think it's just habit reaching for the Simply White Crystal Drops.

Just quickly before I go it's very nearly the best month in the paper crafting world!
Yes the fabulous month of
promises to bring lots of wonderful new Exclusive Simon products, inspiration, discounts & prizes galore so I hope you will join us :)
