Today's card features Concord & 9th's Happy Day clear stamp set & the coordinating Happy Day dies set. I love colouring this stamp & have used it once before here. I've added the coordinating die set to my collection now which made it much easier to team the pretty image with a textured background without covering too much of the background.

I created a simple background using Prima Serenity Art Ingredients Mica Powder, some splatters of Daniel Smiths Watercolour paints, & Altenew Watercolour Stripes Cover Die. 

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps Handwritten Borders stamp set & I have added some of Simon Says Stamps Flickering Butterflies &  a few Nuvo Crystal Drops to embellish.

I have had an incredibly busy week & almost missed writing my post in time as I only realised it was Wednesday today about 9.30am this morning! 

It was my 50th birthday last Wednesday & it literally feels like it's lasted a week & I've had 4 birthday's! I've had so many different lovely surprises from various friends, colleagues & family with one of them being a surprise party & I've even had 4 different beautiful birthday cakes.

It has been really lovely but I'm so ready for some time to relax & play in my craft room now.

Today's card features Simon Says Stamps Spring Flowers stamp set which I have heat embossed onto Canson watercolour paper and then coloured it with my Altenew watercolour pan set. I added lots of water to my paper before colouring the flowers and leaves to make my colouring not as precise as I'm used to doing & I watched the water do it's work. I stamped & coloured a few of the leaves onto another piece of watercolour paper & then fussy cut them & popped them onto my card to add some dimension.

The sentiment is from Simon's You Got This clear stamp set & I have added a few Nuvo Simply White Crystal Drops to embellish.

Blossoms & Butterflies - Simon Says Stamp New Release

Simon Says Stamp has a new release out today called 

Blossoms & Butterflies!

I have created a card featuring the lovely Tiny Words Encouragement stamp set from the new release.

I stamped Simon's Beautiful Flowers onto Canson XL watercolour paper and heat embossed it using white embossing powder. I used my Altenew Watercolour Pan Set to watercolour my image, & once dry I mounted it onto my card base then heat embossed my sentiment onto black card stock & adhered it to my card.

I simply added some Nuvo Simply White Crystal Drops & a few sequins around my image to finish.

 Other supplies used -

 Elizabeth Craft Designs double sided tape, Tonic Guillotine, Acrylic Blocks,  Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, Ranger Anti Static Pouch, Embossing Ink Pad, & Watercolour Brush.

This week I am featuring Picket Fence Studios Just Because Stamp Set which I have stamped in SSS Black Pigment Ink, & this card has been lightly distressed to create a shabby chic look.

The background has been created by heat embossing the pretty Simon Says Stamps Rose Lattice Background stamp with white embossing powder, & then adding some colour using my Altenew Watercolour Pan Set. 

I have added lots of pretty embellishments including some May Arts twine, Nuvo Simply White Crystal Drops, Prima Vintage Art Decor clay embellishment, SSS Scallop Stitches Border dies, SSS Flickering Butterflies, SSS Chrissy Butterfly, Prima Flowers & Pearls.

As you can probably see there is no Hello Bluebird products on my card this week! 

I read the theme of this weeks challenge & didn't give a thought for which company we are featuring & it wasn't until I went to upload my card onto the challenge blog last night that I realised what I had done. That's a first for me & hopefully the last time I make that mistake! 

The image I've used is from Simon Says Stamps Bone-A-Fide Birthday stamp set and I have coloured the cute image with my copics.

The papers are by Lawn Fawn & I have added some May Arts twine & a few Nuvo Simply White Crystal Drops.
