My First Cards Using Copics!

Good morning peeps,
The sun is shining & it's lovely & warm here already, just how I like it :)

Today I feel like a grown up as I've made my first cards using copics at last lol. I had made a right mess of trying to use them previously despite following some fab tutorials but this blending in circles wasn't working for me, it didn't with the inks either so I decided to colour as I do with the DI's and use more of a painting action and I found it worked much better for me.

I used to struggle with colouring hair but after much practice I love colouring it with my inks as you can give it so much depth and shading so I was determined to find hair colours I liked with the copics. I'm happy'ish' with colouring hair & skin with the copics after lots of help and advice from some lovely friends (thank you x) I'm not doing so well with finding colours for clothing I'm happy with, but fingers crossed that will come in time.

As my main worry was sussing the hair and skin I've inked up a stamp that I've had for ages and neglected but thought it was perfect to practice colouring them as the main focus is lots of gorgeous hair.
Ingredients -
Image - Fragile Heart, Hannah Lynn
Medium - copics
Papers - Craft Creations & Prima
Flowers - Prima & The Works
Sentiment - Magnolia
I've sparkled all the flowers and butterflies but as I took the photo outside in the garden it isn't showing up well.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
Sketch Saturday - fab sketch, A Spoon Full Of Sugar - flower power, Top Tip Tuesday - wrap it up with ribbon, Make It Monday - anything goes, Dream Valley - stamp something, Whoopsi Daisy - ribbons & lace, Stamp Something - something sentimental, Sweet Stampin - ooh la la, 2 Sisters - anything goes, Hanna & Friends - lace & pearls

My next card is a quickie I made yesterday as I realised it was the end of the month and I hadn't made my 3 Christmas creations this month for the Hjerteboden's Juleblogg. My first 2 creations can be seen HERE
I'm not overly happy with this one at all as I've again used copics & I tried matching the colours of my image to the gorgeous paper but as you can see the colour of the scarf and gloves went a bit wrong lol.
As well as sussing out these copic colours I need to find a way I like of colouring large plain areas of colour such as the little hAnglars coat.
Ingredients -
Image - hAnglar, won in the lovely Elaine's candy (thanks hunny x), corner stars - Magnolia
Medium - copics
Papers - Bo Bunny
Flowers - Wild Orchid & Kort & Godt
Large wooden snowflake - Quixotic Paperie
Sparkle - crystal glamour dust
I'm entering this little card in the following challenges -
Sketchy Colours - fab sketch, Hjertebodens Juleblogg - 3rd Christmas creation for May, Christmas Card Challenges - snowflakes,  Corrosive - Oh Christmas tree

I think I'm going to have to shut my eyes for half hour, it's taken me nearly 3 hours to do this post as I've a banging headache, just what I need as I've a DT card to make today grrrrrrr lol.

A Wedding & A Sleepy Gardener - Addicted To Stamps & Do It With Digis DT Cards

Good morning peeps,
I am so sorry for being such a bad blogger, I've spent the last few days busy doing nothing and totally resting my shoulder. I couldn't even be bothered to do any colouring & I haven't even been doing my usual Anthea Turner clean freak malarkey, I've turned into a slob lol. Hubby has had a few days off & he's done all the cooking which has been lovely, I do love a nice meal and when I cook it's nothing like a nice meal trust me lol. Anyway I am starting to feel more like my old self and not popping as many painkillers as I have been and the urge to get my beloved hoover out has returned which is always a good sign lol.

Today is new challenge day at
and this fortnight we are playing
Pop over to the challenge blog to take a peek at the bingo grid.

I wanted to make a beach themed wedding card for Michelle the daughter of my blogging buddy Jeanette , or mother of the bride I should say as she's very proud to have a title lol.

Flowers - Prima, Wild Orchid & stash
Fancy Corner (distressed with picket fence crackle paint) - e-crafts

I was just about to do the usual & begin thanking you for visiting and I had an awful thought that I missed posting a DT card while I was floating around on painkillers.
Lynne & girlie's I'm so sorry I'm a doped up air head, and you are all too lovely to nudge me and remind me.
So on Thursday a new challenge started at
& the challenge this fortnight in case you haven't already found it is -

Man cards are always a challenge for me, I hardly ever enjoy making them and sit there longingly looking at flowers and wanting to sparkle them up and pop them on but I know most men don't appreciate them on cards for some strange and stupid reason, after all many of them grow them in their gardens.
Ingredients -
Image - from sponsor Di's Digis
Papers - GCD Studio, Ella Blue

Create 4 Fun - fab sketch,  Penny's - here comes summer, Cooking It Up With Katie - swirls, sunny & sentiment, Aud's Sentiments - card for a male, Charisma - boy oh boy, Cutie Stampers - buttons, Polka Doodles - male theme
Before I go our lovely Lynne has a bank holiday special offer in her fabby new shop of free UK P&P.
Click the pic take you shopping :)

I have made up my mind I AM going to play with my copics today, I've loads of lovely new copic sketch pens from Simon Says Stamp, & I keep intending to have a play but never get round to it so today is the day!
I need to take it easy for a couple more days & be really careful with the shoulder as I am going to be meeting a blogging buddy for the first time on Wednesday as she is on holiday about 20 miles away from where I live & there's no way I want to get on the back of hubby's Harley so I need to be fit to drive and meet up :)

Tilda's Rocking - Simon Says Stamp DT Card

Hello peeps,
Oh no bloggers been misbehaving again! I couldn't leave any comments yesterday including my last 7 DT comments for Simon Says Stamp and I really wanted to get my Paper Play DT commenting done so I wouldn't need to worry about them today, flipping blogger lol. Apologies to anyone who didn't get a comment left for them from our DT, I know Jane was having the same commenting problem, as were many others I've just discovered. I did plan on scheduling my post but I couldn't stay signed in for some strange reason so blogger wouldn't let me do it.

Apologies for being so late today, I've been off for another medical appointment for my shoulder and have eventually arrived home starving hungry (possibly due to only having a choc chip muffin to eat all day!) so my first port of call was the kitchen so I'm typing and munching at the same time. I am so looking forward to a nice bath and going to bed, in fact I would happily go there right now and it's only just gone 5.30pm lol.

Today is new challenge day at
and this week we'd love to see

Ingredients
Papers - Magnolia
Flowers - Magnolia
Pearls - Hero Arts

I've distressed the paper edges using Tim Holtz picket fence crackle paint and added diamond stickles for some lovely sparkle. I know some of you lovely ladies don't like me taking piccys of my card outside as the sparkle doesn't show very well but I wasn't able to get a clear picture of my card inside so I made the most of the sunshine and took it out in the garden.
As always our lovely Heidi is sponsoring this challenge with a mahoosive $50 in store spending spree

I had loads of lovely goodies arrived from Simon Says Stamp from my last DT spend and it only took 8 days for my goodies to arrive so I was a very happy girlie, a big thank you to Heidi and Steph for them xx

I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
Just Magnolia - fab sketch, Creative Card Crew - anything goes, Stampavie & More - pink, Stamps & Fun - flowers power, The Crazy Challenge - 123 recipe (1 image, 2 butterflies, 3 dp), Creative Card Crew - anything goes, Papertake - pretty pastels, The Paper Shelter - anything goes, Dream Valley - old & new (old papers, new Tilda), Craft Your Days Away - white +1, Sew Many Challenges - flowers & lace, CES - embellish it

Sunny Days - Totally Tilda DT Card

Good morning peeps,
I was a good girl yesterday, well goodish! I decided to go to a different garden centre rather than my usual. I went to one without a craft shop to lure me into, but instead I spent a small fortune on some lovely plants and came home all inspired to do some gardening and spent ages out there pottering. My garden has been neglected a bit since I discovered this card making addiction, hubby hates gardening & Gareth & Jodie run a mile at the mention of helping me out there so I've a choice of doing it myself or just growing weeds lol.

Today I have a DT card to share, it's a mid challenge reminder that there is still time to enter the challenge at
which is
You don't have to use a Magnolia cat or dog for the challenge, any image or photo of a cat or dog with our sweet Tilda is fine.

Ingredients -
Images - all Magnolia
Medium - distressed inks
Papers - Love Letters, First Edition Papers
Flowers - Kort & Godt & Prima
Tools - MS punch around the page, Woodware mini butterfly punch, X-Cut butterfly punch

When I had a rummage through my stamps a couple of weeks ago I discovered this sweet Tilda, the picnic rug & the Spring background in among them, and none of them had so much as a whiff of an ink pad, the poor neglected souls lol.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
Paper Sundaes - Birthdays, 2 Sisters - how does your garden grow, Magnolia Down Under - favourite things (Magnolias, PATP, flowers, sparkle), Dream Valley - old & new stash (new papers & dog stamp), Delightful Sketches - flowers, Stamp Something - anything goes, Top Tip Tuesday - floral frenzy, Crafty Ann's - birthday, Papertake - fancy a punch, Corrosive - birthdays

I'm off to force myself into my craft room as I've a DT card due in the DT blog today, sigh, it's a chore I know but I have to do it lol.
