Happy Wedding Day!

Good afternoon lovely peeps!

It's been way too long since I updated my blog with anything other than DT cards, & as today is a very special day for a truly lovely member of the Simon Says Stamp family I thought I would share the wedding card I have sent to her & her husband Sam.

Originally I was going to make my DT card for this weeks Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Wedding / Anniversary challenge the card I was going to send to Steph & Sam, but I decided I didn't want to share their card before their special day so went all out in a style I haven't created in for a long time, embellishments galore! 

I just really hope Steph likes this card more & isn't disappointed she didn't receive my DT card!

 As you can see I have used lots of my favourite products on this card, some I still use all the  time & others that have been neglected of late!

The papers are from First Edition & are called The Promise, the Mr & Mrs sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps Congratulations stamps set & is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Black pigment ink, & the names & date are computer generated.

The clay frame & fancy corner have been created using Martha Stewart air dry clay & clay moulds, I've die cut Simon's Stacked Hearts & Butterfly Drift in white wood grain card stock & added some lace, a heart charm, Twine, Pearls, & Simply White Crystal Drops.

 Other supplies used -

 Elizabeth Craft Designs Double Sided Tape,  Tonic Guillotine, Acrylic Blocks, Tonic Scissors, Die Cutting machine, SSS Tacky Glue, & Prima & Wild Orchid flowers.

I've been deleting some of the photos of cards stored in my laptop as I have way too many folders in My Pictures & have discovered lots & lots of other cards which I've created over the past couple of years but not got around to sharing on my blog, so I will be gradually adding them to my blog over the next few weeks to have a long overdue catch up &  little Miss Tilda will be reappearing here!

Most, if not all of my cards these days feature several fabulous Simon Says Stamp own brand products and this one is no exception.

The beautiful peonies are from Simon's Delicate Flowers stamp set which I received in my May card kit. The kit is sold out but the contents can all be purchased separately. 

 I've water coloured the pretty Delicate Flowers using Altenew Watercolour Pans & then fussy cut them ready to attach to my card.

My sentiment is from Simon's Congratulations stamps set & I have heat embossed it onto vellum using white embossing powder. 

I have die cut Simon's Stacked Hearts twice with white wood grain card stock and adhered one of my die cuts behind my flowers, & the other I've cut up to add more hearts randomly around the flowers.

 Other supplies used -

Simply White Crystal Drops, Lace Trimmings, Simon Says Stamp Woodgrain card stock, Canson XL watercolour paper, Elizabeth Craft Designs Double Sided Tape,  Tonic Guillotine, Acrylic Blocks, Tonic Scissors, Die Cutting machine, White Fun Foam,  SSS Tacky Glue, & SSS Embossing Ink Pad.

Simple Elegance - Simon Says Stamp DT Card

Hello lovely peeps,
This past week has been a bit of a whirlwind here, hubby has suffered a TIA & his blood pressure had shot up again so he's been back in hospital & is none too pleased about having endless appointments for scans, blood tests etc. Miss bossy boots here has had to give him a telling off or two for being so grumpy when the hospital staff are only trying to look after him & prevent him having another stroke. Honestly it's worse than trying to reason with a stroppy kiddie at times lol.

My lovely teamies and I are featuring some gorgeous SIMON SAYS STAMPS products on our creations this week, if you have any we'd love to see them but as always it's not compulsory to use them to join our challenge.

I needed to make a wedding card so thought Simon's lovely dies would be perfect for this occasion & I've opted for an elegant & CAS theme for this card which was partly because it feels like my feet have hardly touched the ground this week & CAS cards are so quick & easy to make.

 I'm pretty sure you know by now how much I love Simon's beautiful butterfly dies! 

On this card I have used the larger of the butterfly dies called Devonshire & Paulina & added a little bit of lovely sparkle as a finishing touch.

That's me finished for today peeps, I may just have time to squeeze in a little bit of housework before collecting hubs from the hospital, than again it's probably best to save my energy and sit here blogging instead lol.

I also have a card to share which I created a few weeks ago & it has been sat in my craft room all neglected & just awaiting being photographed.

This card seems like the first card I've created in a long time for no particular reason other than I felt like it & I really enjoyed creating it.

I've used some gorgeous goodies from Simon's Valentine release 2014 as well as another adorable Tilda from the Special Moments Collection.

The copic colours I've used are -

skin - E11, E00, E000, R12, hair - E43, E41, E40, dress - C4, C3, C1, C00
