Hello peeps,
We've had a busy weekend here, hubby and Jodie went on the Santa run with the bike club on Saturday while I was busy fighting with Christmas decorations, yes fighting with the flipping things lol. Hubbs fetched it all out of the loft for me to put the tree up while he was off playing Santa, so I waved them off at 8.30am & couldn't wait to get started so I unpacked loads of bags & box's & had my little piles of various coloured baubles, stars, icicles, lights etc & basically trashed the front room doing it. Then I unpacked the tree & had a major panic, no flipping tree stand!!! Poor Gareth was sent up and down the loft ladder to hunt for the stand that many times he was seriously fed up & eventually I had the brainwave of using the old Christmas tree stand if it fitted which thankfully it did, problem sorted :)
Back downstairs I discovered Jester (puppy) & Diddly (cat) had been having a wonderful time with the baubles and lights & I no longer had my neat little piles ready to decorate I had a complete mess & a few crunched up baubles, marvellous lol. After untangling all the lights, strings of beads & retrieving the baubles etc that were scattered all around the lounge and kitchen it was now 1.30pm and I had achieved basically nothing lol. By the time hubby & Jode arrived home at 5.30pm I was staggering about feeling drunk on my painkillers & I had managed to get the lounge tree and the little tree in the kitchen up & just about straighten out the house so it no longer looked like a bomb had gone off in it lol.
Yesterday was spent shopping & then hubbs had a migraine & went to bed so we still haven't put all the decorations up, maybe by Christmas Eve we will have it all sorted lol.
Today oops no yesterday was new challenge day at

yaaaaayyyyyy
I love, love, love Pinterest and I have just passed the 300 followers mark woo hoo :)
Before I go I thought I'd leave you with a Santa or two & my little Rudolph who was very excited as her and hubby were filmed riding through Bristol & were on the news, guess who had to rewind the news many times lol.
Approx 450 motorbikes joined the Santa run taking Christmas presents & donations to The Childrens Hospice South West & had a very cold but brilliant day, stopping off at Weston-Super-Mare for a hot chocolate on route.
Jodie & hubbs said they have never known so many bored looking people in cars & pedestrians smile, beep their horns & wave as the rode past, then again it's not every day hundreds of Santa, Reindeer, fairys etc ride around on motorbikes lol.
Thanks for stopping by

ReplyDeleteHope you have managed to finish the decorations.. I don´t decorate that much.. As we are so much away from home.. But i do use red curtains and lots of red tea-lights during Christmas..
Well just came home from a 3 hour drive.. quite exhausted.. And had not less than 3x2 Moose in front of my car. .. Phew.. Lucky I had the feeling.. seeing the brake marks from other cars.. and also saw them entering the road in time.. But they did not want to move either.. I had a Big one walking to me.. and I almost screamed.. out loud... Blinking with the car lights.. it stopped.. But WOW. I AM SCARED OF MOOSE!!! :O)
OMG!!! Mandy. I've been looking at your blog and your work is totally amazing. I must have a go at colouring Tilda sometime. Thank you for your lovely comment on the Simon says challenge.
