Good morning peeps,
I've gone an overslept which has thrown me right out thanks to a wakeful night & watching some really terrible cheesy Christmas films on TV. I dropped the remote control on the floor & Daisy Mae was snuggled into me fast asleep & I didn't have the heart to wake her so I could move & pick up the remote so I was stuck watching them, softy or what lol.
Today is new challenge day at
& this fortnight our challenge is
Please make sure you read the rules peeps, our Ms Sugar has been tough on us girls this time & my lovely teamies have really made some stunning cards but the ONLY colouring allowed is skin & hair, no shading whatsoever, no grounding your Tilda's & no shading around her, not even a tiny bit of green from your flower leaves is allowed.
Image - Magnolia
Medium - Copics
Paper - Bazzil Basics
Pearls - Melissa Frances & Hero Arts
Sentiment - Magnolia
Pom Pom Trim - The Ribbon Girl
Tools - Docraft, Crafts-Too & Cuttlebug, Magnolia Doo Hickey Mistletoe & Hellebores, MS Aspen PATP for the snowflakes
I will admit I really struggled with this one even though I'm a big lover of WOW cards, it just seemed soooooo wrong not to add a bit of shading to her dress folds, grounding her & shading around her but I overcome that by sparkling her dress & cutting her out. I quite like my card now as long as I don't look at the stick her star is on as that really bugs me lol.
I have a little pile of Tilda's with only her skin & hair coloured, I had to keep going until I found one I could cope with without shading & I do think the totally white looks really effective.
I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
Midnight Madness - fab sketch #132, Come & Get It - Christmas, Let's Ink It Up - Christmas, 2 Sisters - punches &/or dies, Di's Digi Designs - all white, One Stop Craft - let it snow, Fairytale - Christmas, Jingle Belles - wrapping it up, Just Magnolia - anything goes opt sparkle, Miami Doodles - make it shine, Simply Create Two - Christmas, Totally Papercrafts - let it snow, Delightful Challenges - let it snow, Crafting For All Seasons - white on white, Crafts & Me - pearls & swirls, Cards & More - snowflakes, Scrap Creations - Christmas, Ladybug Crafts Ink - white on white, Oldie But A Goodie - Christmas but no red or green
And now the reason I have had so little time to blog as well as having hubby off work is I have been trying to get 25 invitations made for my great nephew Ollie's 1st birthday party, and at 9.35pm last night I stuck the very last star on and finished them yaaaaaayyyyyyy, I just had to sit & guard them all from a very inquisitive Daisy Mae until the Colall 3D glue on the stars had dried.
He is so scrummy, he's such a happy and chilled out little man just like his daddy my beautiful nephew Robert who I absolutely adore.
I started die cutting "PARTY" & remembered I hadn't asked Sammie what she wanted on the front of them so I also have a little tub of letters ready for later use, good job I checked lol.
And here they all are, 25 scrummy little smiling Ollie's, ahhhh. One thing making all of these reminded me was I hate mass production it reminded me of why I stepped down from the Crafters Companion DT, but every time I got fed up with them I just had to look at that little smiley face and melted.
Sammie & Ollie have been around this morning & collected them, I just need to do a little repair job on my Christmas tree now as Ollie loved it. Sammie was so worried about the tree but I found it quite funny watching the angel on the top wobbling about, she's leaning so much now I don't know how she's stayed on there lol.
There is also one more day to enter my candy if anyone wants to and hasn't already.
Thanks for stopping by
