Pearls In My Hair - Addicted To Stamps DT Card

Good morning peeps,
That flipping pink thing!!! I literally gave myself a headache with trying to solve the driver problem yesterday I was rubbing masses of 4Head across my brow while cursing loudly lol. I am not even going to look at it today, as it refuses to behave then I shall treat it like a naughty child and ignore it until I have the patience to tackle it again, & me being so stubborn I WILL sort it out lol.

Moving on to nicer non pink things, it's new challenge day at

Winter Fairy Halla - CMC Guest Designer

Good morning peeps,
This is my first post using my new pink laptop and so far this darn pink thing is driving me nuts! I am having to upload piccy's on my old laptop as there is a driver error somewhere in it all to do with a missing "digital signature" & from what I've read it's a known problem with Windows 7 but do you think I can locate the flipping driver to remove it! I have all the information for it I just can't locate it, so after many wasted hours of attempting to fix the driver problem I do not like Windows 7 & I'm not overly keen on my new pink laptop either because of it. There was so very nearly a flying pink thing over Somerset as chucking it out the window seemed a very good idea lol.

Today I have a card to share as a guest designer at
& this fortnight the challenge is all about

I have failed miserable with making my 3 Christmas cards a month throughout the year so far, & this is only card number 4 so I must try harder to stick to it or I'll be panicking more than usual come December.
Ingredients -
Image - Mo Manning, Winter Fairy Halla
Medium - Copics
Papers - My Minds Eye
Lace & Twine - The Ribbon Girl
Flowers - Prima, Kort & Godt & Wild Orchid
Sparkle - crystal glamour dust & crystal glamour dust paint
Tools - MS Aspen PATP & Himalayan snowflake punch, Tim Holtz tiny attacher & sewing machine
The Copic colours I've used are -
skin - E21, E11, E00, E000, R20, hair - Y26, YR21, YR24, E51, clothes - E44, E42, E40 / W6, W4, W2, WO, wings - BG0000, W2, W0
I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
Inspire Me Friday's - anything goes, Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - anything goes, Crafty Ann's - stitching, Crafty Hazelnuts - sentiment without the word Christmas, Glitter Geeks - stitches, Stampin' For The Weekend - sparkle & shine, Sassy Studio Designs - Christmas with a sentiment, Digital Tuesday - Winter blues, Tuesday Throwdown - use some sparkle
I'm going to have another tinker & see if I can sort this driver problem out, if not I'm heading back to Curry's to have a tantrum lol.

Pinkilicious - Simon Says Stamp DT & Smash Book Candy Winner

Good morning peeps,
OMG we've had thunder and lightening & more is forecast today & I hate it. I have been in some pretty scary situations and coped but one rumble of thunder or a flash of lightening & that's me reduced to a quivering wreck hiding in the cupboard with my welly boots on, those rubber soles may just save my life you know lol.

My poor debit card took one heck of a battering yesterday as I bought myself a nice new pink 8GB laptop which is being delivered today as it wasn't in stock in store. It had £220 off so instead of thinking about what I've spent I think it's best to look on it as I've saved looooooads of money lol. My little laptop hasn't been right since I dropped it on the floor when I nodded off blogging, I have to wiggle the charger connector around to get it to charge & sometimes I can't get it to make the connection to charge & then it shuts down on me, the repair & new motherboard it needs costs almost as much as I paid for it so just isn't worth it. I knew nothing at all about computers when I bought my laptop & have only just realised it only has 2GB memory, no wonder it kept telling me I need to buy more RAM lol.
As well as a nice new pink laptop the new Magnolia's went on pre-order, sigh, need I say more lol.

Today is new challenge day at
& this week it's

My lovely teamies & I were all kindly given a set of Paper Smooches to play with & I was very happy when I opened the packet and saw I'd been sent Sugar Rush as they are just perfect for me.
Originally when I looked at the stamps I thought as they are what I'd call "clean & simple" images I'd make a CAS card, which I did in about 20 minutes, & 5 minutes later it was in the bin! I love some of the CAS cards I see but they just aren't me. I always feel like I haven't made enough effort with a CAS card as they are so quick to make, & I dare say the people who always make CAS cards probably look at my cards in horror at my mass of embellies lol, but thank goodness we aren't all the same as blogging would probably get a bit boring.
I decided that these cute little stamps would have to work "Mandy style" & I am actually pleased with the result!
Blimey I'm waffling a lot today, sorry peeps, here's my card -
Ingredients -
Image & Sentiment - Paper Smooches Sugar Rush
Medium - Copics

I'm keeping my fingers crossed we don't get another storm as I need to transfer everything I want from this laptop to a memory stick ready to be loaded onto my new pink laptop, did I mention it's pink lol, and there's no way I'd use anything electrical with nasty weather around, welly boots or no welly boots!

More Candy - Happy Birthday To Me & My First Smash Book Page

Hello peeps,
We had such a wonderful day yesterday, we babysat little Ollie while his daddy Rob & Uncle Gareth decorated the nursery ready for the baby girl's arrival. He was so good all day, he is always such a happy little man he had us in fits of laughter all day, no prizes for guessing who got thoroughly spoilt lol.

The reason for my post today is it's my birthday & I am so lucky to have so many wonderful and generous blogging friends who have spoilt me rotten, and I want to say a massive thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the beautiful cards and gifts, you really have made my day.
Today has been really lovely with friends coming round and loads of phone calls, I've been trying to get on my computer to email and thank everyone but it's been bedlam here and I can't believe the day has gone so quickly but I will get around to thanking you all personally asap.

I thought as it's a special day for me I would share a little extra candy consisting of one of my favourite new crafty products, a Retro Blue SMASH book
If you fancy having a go at "SMASHIN''" or already SMASH and want the chance of winning another book all you have to do is leave me a comment to let me know you want to enter the draw, easy peasy lol.
*K&Company RETRO BLUE Smash Folio 30-615007
I have my very first Smash Book page to share today and I have started with my pretty pink book. After much looking at the books wondering what on earth I was going to do with them I had ideas galore but hadn't done any until I saw in the CMC Smash Book group Suzanne had set a challenge with some prompts which was just perfect for me as it kind of gave me a goal to aim for following the theme of "what I love about Spring & or my favourite thing to do in Spring....."  The group is free and anyone is welcome to join in.
Sorry the piccy's aren't the best but if you want to see them better click on the pic.
Naturally I had to get chocolate & Ollie on my page lol, and I just love the sound of the "frogs chorus" although Gareth hates it as they really do get quite loud and his bedroom window is at the back of our house only a few feet from the pond. I just remind him he did choose to move back home & they never bothered me when I had his bedroom as my craft room lol.
I'm sure you all know already this gorgeous girl is called Wash Day and is by Krista Smith, I am loving  colouring Krista's sweet images at the moment, now I just need to find time to make cards with them.
You have one week to enter the draw to win a SMASH book so I will close this mini candy next Tuesday evening.
Thanks you again my lovely friends for helping to make my day so special

Things went a little down hill after my initial smiles at my new goodies as I had one of those con men on the phone telling me he had detected serious malware in my computer but if I followed his instructions he could help me so he made me swear at him when I not so politely told him to go away lol. I wonder how many times these con artists will ring before they finally get the message & stop calling, it's no wonder I hate the phone when people make me swear lol.
