Skateboarding Lessons! - Addicted To Stamps DT Card

Good morning peeps,
I woke up to the biggest mess ever in my kitchen, Jodie, Gareth, my beautiful nephew Rob and loads of friends all started off having a few drinks here last night & then went clubbing to celebrate Jode's birthday. I hadn't realised they all came back here in the early hours and carried on partying, my kitchen was a right state, glasses, plates, empty bottles, & Gareth's clothes all over the place so I'm guessing after a lot of drinks he did his usual strip, he's not shy my boy lol.
OMG I messed up and fell asleep yesterday when trying to do some blogging & type my post which I intended to schedule but I only got as far as uploading my piccys, I also entered a totally wrong link in a challenge! Oh lord I blame the Diazepam I'm taking for the back pain, I swear I don't even know what planet I'm on lol. I've just taken another so fingers crossed I manage to publish this and make sense with my waffle lol.

Today is new challenge day at
and this fortnight the challenge is

We are welcoming two new ladies to our little ATS family & as always my super talented teamies have some beautiful inspiration for you, please pop over and take a peek and come and join us in the challenge
Ingredients -
Image - Magnolia
Medium - Copics
Papers - Pion
Flowers - Kort & Godt, Prima & Wild Orchid
Pearls - Melissa Frances
Sentiment - Cats Life Press
Pin - homemade
Tools - MS Cherished PATP, nesties, Marianne Creatables decorative elegance die
This was another card I had made for Jodie' birthday for Gareth to give to her and again there is a reason for the image I've used!
Gareth has tried giving Jode skateboarding lessons many times and he's got loads of videos of her trying to skateboard on his phone and judging by these she'll never manage it, they are hilarious and usually end up with Jodie flat on her back rolling around laughing

I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
Sweet Sketch Wednesday - sketch (rotated), Fairytale - sports, Corrosive - punches & or dies, Crafting For All Seasons - birthdays, My Mum's Craft Shop - happy birthday, Cute Card Thursday - anything goes, Top Tip Tuesday - birthday time

My baby sis is coming around this morning as she's visiting from Plymouth for a couple of days so I really must attempt to hobble around & sort my kitchen out so I can at least get to the kettle lol.

Memories!

Hello peeps,
Today is my baby girls 19th Birthday, I remember my 19th birthdays well, I should do really I had enough of them lol. I always dreaded being the big 30 because as a child I used to tell everyone "my mum's really old she's 30" so I decided to stay 19 for 12 years until I was 31 as 31 was fine I didn't have a problem with that age lol.
It's a bittersweet day for Jodie, her birthday is always tinged with sadness as her friend Sophie should also be with her celebrating their shared birthday but Sophie sadly died of meningitis just over a year ago. They didn't get to go clubbing and buy their first alcholic drink together but like last year Jodie's first vodka will be a toast to Sophie & she'll always be in our thoughts.

The image I've used on Jodie's card I had to buy the minute I saw it as I knew it would be just perfect for Jode with her shoe obsession!
Ingredients -
Image - Mo Manning
Medium - Copics
Paper - Magnolia & DCWV
Flowers - Prima & stash
Pin - homemade
Tools - nesties, MS PATP, Magnolia Doo Hickey heart swirls & antique lace border die, Woodware butterfly die, Spellbinder tags die

Note the shoes are designed by Christian Louboutin lol.
The quote / sentiment is made of vellum and is from a DCWV quotes book which I forgot I had until I discovered it during a rummage in my stash

The photo below is the reason I had to buy the sweet image
She looked so cute.
I took this photo of Jode at my oldest friend Petal's wedding when Jodie was only 19 months old and had a real thing for shoes. These were Petal's nice new stain wedding shoes but Jode spent the majority of the day and evening wearing them so the poor Bride had to go barefoot lol
I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
Mo's Digital Challenges - lets celebrate, CES - embellish me more, One Stop Craft - girlie, Sweet Stampin' - flowers, Card Makin' Mamas - punches, If The Shoe Fits - bejeweled blue, Flutterby Wednesday - anything goes, Kelley's Kids - girly girl, Delightful Challenges - girly girl

I've had a bit of a mishap and have slipped a disc in my back and my god it's painful, honestly I reckon I should just wrap myself in cotton wool and stay in bed where it's safer lol. It's difficult to sit upright for very long so I've not been able to do any card making or blogging for the past few days so apologies to those of you I haven't made it round to.

Tilda The Angel - Simon Says Stamp DT Card

Good morning peeps,
Today is the day my baby girl goes back to college after a very long summer holiday, they broke up in early May so that's a 4 month holiday which I think is a ridiculously long break. Jode is going to be a nightmare getting up in the mornings, but at least her mobile phone bill should go back to normal, I can't believe she'd gone over her huge contract allowance and cost me a small fortune last month, mummy wasn't happy I can tell you, flipping kids lol.

I sit and wait
Does an angel contemplate my fate
And do they know
The places where we go
When we´re grey and old
´cos I´ve been told
that salvation lets their wings unfold
So when I’m lying in my bed
Thoughts running through my head
And I feel that love is dead

And through it all

Wherever it may take me
I know that life won't break me
When I come to call
She won't forsake me

Bee Happy - Paper Play DT Card

Good morning peeps,
I am not talking about hubby's new baby today as that dragon & that Mr Stacey are in my bad books, no make that very bad books & my poor nerves are shot to pieces lol.
What shall I waffle about instead of my traumatic incidents, ummmmm, my car is poorly so I couldn't go shopping & just when I need chocolate most to settle my nerves, how flipping typical lol.

Today is new challenge day at
PAPER PLAY
& this week I have set the challenge which is
2 OR MORE STAMPED IMAGES

I have inked up a couple of sweet Magnolia's that I have had sat in one of my drawers all neglected and unloved for that long I can't even remember buying them, shocking lol.
I am going to spend some time sorting through my baskets & drawers of stamps and put all the ones I still haven't used in a box, or maybe two boxes, awaiting an inking & try really hard to resist buying anymore until I've used at least half of them, says the woman who opened another package of the new release LOTV's yesterday, & why the heck did I need them I haven't even inked the first launch yet, madness lol.
Ingredients -
Images - All Magnolia, Honey Tilda, for the mini click HEREHoney JarBee's
Medium - Copics
Flowers - Kort & Godt & Wild Orchid
Papers - home made
Tools - Magnolia Doo Hickeys - Old Swedish Lace & Heart Swirls, Marianne Creatables Decorative Elegance, MS Cherish PATP
To make the papers I randomly stamped the very small Bee's from the Chasing Butterflies collection & the Bumble Bee from the Sweet Rainbow collection on the back of some old designer papers that I didn't like & were left over in a pad, then I inked the paper all over with scattered straw distress ink & cut and dry foam, and then coloured each bee in using Copics, this was when I regretted stamping so many lol.
I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
TOMIC - make your own background, Midnight Madness - fabby sketch, Make It Monday - anything goes, iCopic - glitter, The Pixie Cottage - mellow yellow

I'm off to call the RAC & sit down for a good blogging session while I'm waiting for a nice man to hopefully come and fix my car.

Tilda's Flying High - Simon Says Stamp DT Card

Good morning peeps,
I've been such a busy girl the past few days, and OMG yesterday was soooooo traumatic!!!!!!!
The husband has got a new baby, a Bearded Dragon, he isn't very old so needs feeding 3 times a day & as everyone else was at work or out I had to be the one to feed him. Now salad & fruit is no problem except for I probably ate more of it than I gave to him, but I had to feed him LIVE Crickets, Meal Worms & something else which looked so disgusting I wouldn't even take the lid off the tub & made him do without. There is no way I was going to pick up those Crickets with my bare hands like hubbs does so I spent ages cringing & shrieking poised with my craft tweezers & a shoe in case any escaped, & that was before I'd even taken the lid off the tub lol. I'm not kidding it took me well over an hour to feed him 1 Cricket & a few Meal Worms, yep I'm a wuss lol. As well as being traumatised by those insects I'm also very concerned about where my massive Christmas tree will go as we've now got a 4ft tank in the lounge for the dragon I think I'm going to have to downsize & I do love my huge tree sob sob, lol.

Today is new challenge day at
& this week the challenge is

This week my lovely teamies & I are showcasing My Minds Eye or Jillibeans paper, the perfect excuse for me to play with my new papers.
For my multifold I've made a tent card which I've not tried before, thankfully it was nice and easy to make.

INGREDIENTS -
Medium - Copics
Lace & Flowers - Prima

I've die cut the large snowflake using a Cuttlebug die and then stuck Twinklets Diamond Dust on it for that lovely sparkle, popped a MS Artic snowflake on top & added an American Crafts brad.

As always our lovely Heidi is sponsoring our challenge with a whopping $50 in store spending spree for the lucky winner.
Don't forget to keep an eye on the STORE BLOG for a chance of winning a fabby giveaway
I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
Just Magnolia - anything goes, Simply Magnolia - anything goes, Magnolia Mania - sparkle, Christmas Inspirations - glitter, Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - new / different fold (tent card), Fairy Tale - flowers & lace, Sweet Stampin' - anything but birthday, Stamptacular - the sky's the limit, Magnolia Down Under -  frame it, Creative Inspirations - 3- vintage, ribbon & flowers, Sparkles Forum - punch it
I just have to show you this piccy!
I've discovered the reason birds have stopped coming to our bird table, and the reason is ..........
Diddly lol.

I am hoping life will get back to normal over the next couple of days. I've had some problems that needed dealing with and I've been trying to get ahead with DT cards as hubby is on holiday next week & that usually means more time for blogging as he nags me sit and rest my shoulder while he's watching flipping cricket on TV, & did you know it's only a few more days until the start of the rugby world cup yaaaaayyyyyyy lol.

The little keys charm I bought ages ago from a local shop and forgot I had and I've added a Magnolia Heart Keyhole stamp just above the charm.
On the inside back cover I've added a sweet Cross Stitched Tilda and used the brown flowery paper on both of the inside covers which is also from the Ella Blue pad.
