Good morning peeps,
I was having a very "bracing" drive into town at 8am to drop my poorly boy off to work even though he should really be snuggled in the warm. It's so cold & we have thick fog here I could barely see to the end of my car bonnet but there's still loads of people driving around with no lights on, idiots lol.
Jodie is having a wonderful time in Egypt, she had a bit of a shock jumping in the pool to try & cool off not realising it was the cold salt water pool so that really did cool her off lol. Jode's told me not to panic as she may not be able to ring today as they are at sea! I'm hoping she means sailing & won't get any signal & not that she's going deep sea diving which I know she is doing one day this week but she won't tell me which day until after she's done it to stop me worrying!
Today is new challenge day at
& this fortnight our challenge is
For those who aren't sure what "Kraft" is it's the brown card I have used to mat my papers & have punched the photo corners with, there's an example HERE.
Today I have a more "grown up" card, instead of my usual tonne of embellies & cute images I have used the Christmas Door which is one of the incredibly talented Mo Manning's images. I absolutely love this image, it reminds me our old front door of the cottage we used to live in when we lived right out in the countryside in the middle of nowhere, beautiful place but I hated not having street lights & pavements lol.
The papers are by Maja Designs & Creative Imaginations corrugated card stock.
The Copic colours I've used are -
door - W4, W2, W1, W00, wreath -YG99, YG97, YG93, YG63, spade - C5, C3, C1, C00 / E25, E31, E50, doormat - E35, E33, E31, E30
I'm entering my card in the following challenges -
Make It Monday - anything goes, Inspire Me Friday - anything goes
I was thinking about having a potter in the garden but as it's so cold I think playing with my Simon Says Stamp card kit sounds a much better idea :) I'd never survive in the bitterly cold temperatures some of you girls live in, I'd be the crazy woman wearing as many layers of clothes as possible, tucking hot water bottles inside them, hat, gloves, scarf, and wrapping myself in a double duvet just to open the front door lol.
Thanks for stopping by
Lovely,

Wow, Mandy, what a stunning card. The image is fab, so strong, and the grey/white/kraft with a pop of green colour scheme is so effective. Love it all (and I get what you're saying about living in the middle of the country too!!).

Mandy this is one of the most beautiful colored doors ever. I love your card and it is perfect in every way. I love that your sharing with us how your daughter is having a great time exploring things in Egypt, as a mom from a similar event I can feel your love. I felt so much better when mine came home. It will be -25 below Farenheit Tuesday night here in my USA State of Minnesota! I hate living here, but this is where we are parked for now. It is so cold in the winter and hurts to go out. I am with you on this one. I find it amusing that no matter how cold it gets here, June comes and all the annoying bugs come out, how do they survive!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day,
Kelly
I love this fantastic image very wintry looking, love the BP and the gorgeous bow
